Where to start? Kirk attending the "Ian Desmond school of playing yourself out of a long term contract" with your maddening inconsistency. Why was it so easy second half of last year? Why can't that carry over? Why so undecisive and easily rattled by pressure? How do you miss Church in the red zone like that? Btw that deep ball to Doctson is a td if you hit him in stride, but you underthrew him because you were clearly off point from overthrowing Djax early in the game.
Lichtensteiger, you '98 Altima with the worn out clutch, you. I need a word to describe the opposite of clutch, and that's what I got.
Breeland, iheartyou but your confidence is clearly low right now, so either he gets permanent over the top help until he's ready or he plays second fiddle and lets Norman line up wherever he wants. Either way, make the adjustment Joe Barry.
McC, i want to heart you as well but man our d-line is brutal. I realize it's luck when the player you want falls to you and is not only the BPA but fills a need, but the d-line was and still continues to be a weakness, much like Kory L. Yes I say this knowing how many injuries we have, but that still lies on the GM.
Deshaun Phillips, you and Breeland gotta do something because you welcomed the challenge of covering Cole Beasley yet everytime I see you you're making the tackle after giving up the catch. No bueno. Secondary was supposed to be a strength.
Matt Jones, you could be great someday, but I am still unimpressed. Maybe the playcalling needs to be better, maybe our line prefers the zone blocking scheme, but as many yards as you got today I still see a nonphysical guy who isn't much of a slasher either. Even if we keep him we could still afford an upgrade, I like Chris Thompson in a third down role but he's not much of a rush threat as he is a checkdown/blocking option on third down.
Playcalling, I'm looking at you Sean "only calls fades in the red zone" Mcvay. Come on man.
