The Browns will beat us and folks will start calling for a head coaching change...the best coach on the team is Bill Callahan..but seriously we need a center,a pass rusher and time to let cousins throw it downfield to see IF he really is the QB of future. We have one of the best group of WR's in league and that is all we got?? might as well trade some of them if we are not going to use them..BAD BAD COACHING..

I hope you are joking, Bill Callahan is not a good head coach. He is a good coordinator and offensive line coach.

He lost the team in Oakland, and failed as a Head Coach at Nebraska. He was the Head Coach when Nebraska lost to Texas Tech 70 - 10.

Positives:
Hopkins
The 'skins got the 2nd place ribbon last night!!

Negatives:
Coaching - all of them
Gruden/McVay for poor off plan
Callahan for failing to coach up the run game
Barry - gotta get some help for Breeland
oh, and how about popping the Tight End on 3rd & short to prevent that
quick, no-lace throw???

Front Office-
Chico quoted it...we wanted to get better running & stopping the run
YET....we make NO significant changes to the weak link Center position
For God's sake...we could've reached in the 2nd or 3rd round for all I care

and last but not least.....MYSELF
I was foolish enough to think that Compton & Foster would take a step forward at ILB
maybe make our poor d-line look decent...what was I thinking??!!

Atleast she seems interested in the game, the salt in my wounds last night was getting home with like three minutes left in the game and my wife standing in front of the tv. I notice the game is on, which I thought was strange because she could care less. She goes, "just turned it on, ...wow...they suck - you're hating it", laughed, and walked away.
I was just standing there looking at her like, how could you be sooo cruel? Lol

The only positive this week:
Washington Redskins OL Arie Kouandjio and Baltimore Orioles pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez become U.S. citizens (http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/17541993/washington-redskins-ol-arie-kouandjio-baltimore-orioles-pitcher-ubaldo-jimenez-become-us-citizens)

Probably because the Steelers pass D was trash last year and they were much better vs the run, and we're built to pass right now. We should have carved them up. My question is why didn't that happen?
They sat back and said beat us running.. And we could not do it.

Seriously, I should have known that since I was thinking our new look passing game was going to just destroy their zero pass defense that the exact opposite was going to happen. Duh.

I blame Cousins for not being accurate early or often. Also the lack of run game. We could not ever really open up the passing game. Why should they have ever worried about the short pass, screen, or run? Dropping 8 all night. Just taunting us like little children. Dang.

The one positive is it was just game 1.
Matt Jones is not the answer at RB. He runs straight, no bend at his hips, no leverage. Too easy to knock over. He will be injured soon if he does not lower his center of gravity while running.
I have said this since I joined this site, rule #1 in football 101 stopping the run and being able to effectively run the ball. If we can not do this we will have a long season with no playoffs. It fucking kills me we suck at the basics in football.
According to some, we are "built" to be a passing team. You have to learn to walk before you can run or pass in this situation. We made the decision to spend a ton of money on our receivers and TE. We subtracted players from last year and did not replace them with quality talent. We basically created our current weakness.
I understand a team is built over time. But regressing should not happen.
