I'm hearing he's retiring

If he is, then c'est la vie. Not worth bringing a guy who doesn't want to play.

A known hothead gets told he's been traded, and his response is I quit. I think he just needs a day or so to relax.

He had a series of concussions. Given the number of folks who have done the same recently, it would not be to surprising if he did.

One of the commenters to one of the twitter links said "So, apparently, the 'conditional' part of the 7th rounder was him not retiring."

Well he's probably better than anyone we currently have, which isnt saying too much. Kory, Lerib, Long...all atrocious.. I like this move if he can stay healthy and wants to play. However, NE isn't going to get the short end of a trade. He must really be garbage in camp if they're trading him for a 7th.
