I do think there is a bit of a difference from a senator who was in very much the same position both times and a civilian critique looking in from the outside. But yes Trump did criticize Obama. Shocking. Chico23231 01-30-2018, 09:05 AM Leave your bullshit in the Media Bias thread. Maybe people didn’t want to listen to Despacito and 24k magic for the mother fucking billionth time. Don’t get me started on DJ Khalid. He’s the Bruce Allen of rap. Rap is pop and auto tune. Its the Bruce Allen of music these days. Whats hilarious is after the protest award shows, then everyone then wants to protest the winners. Too many men apparently won? lets just give participation trophies out to the nominees. soft ass country we live in Sorry Jamf...I shouldn't have posted it there. Everyone wants to be fucking equal but they are going way overboard. You are right, there are no winners and losers anymore it's all "It's ok you tried" F that Giantone 01-30-2018, 11:06 AM Rap is pop and auto tune. Its the Bruce Allen of music these days. Me too, I wasn't paying attention. I will agree with you but all so I just don't listen to any of that stuff,I don't listen to the radio in that sense. I do my Pandora and my Satellite Radio with my set stations, 60's,70's,Little Steven's Underground Garage the Bridge and the Springsteen channel and believe it or not a little classical every once in a while. For Christmas I was given a very cool stereo where I can play all my old LP's and put them on CD's,point being I really don't listen to anything the Grammy's cover anymore. mooby 07-02-2018, 05:29 PM Brian Ross, Who Aired Erroneous Trump Report, to Leave ABC News (http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/brian-ross-who-aired-erroneous-trump-report-to-leave-abc-news/ar-AAzuu2d?li=BBnbcA1&ocid=ientp) Chico I remember you were all over ABC News when the Ross report came out as false (and rightfully so, anything should always be fact-checked before being put out as news and not opinion). So now that Ross is leaving ABC News do you think ABC deserves credit for this? Obviously he wasn't welcome back in any role like the one he used to fill. Ignore all the "sad day" talk and nonsense, obv. it's just lip service to a guy who spent 20 years there. I guess the question comes down to, is ABC's rep forever tarnished in your eyes because the one journalist who screwed up bigly? Chico23231 07-02-2018, 08:15 PM I don’t get any thrills from someone losing a job....none. But I certainly think it would be awesome if the mainstream media would present the news and the administration strategy in a manor that was more meaningful way...one that gives both sides of the debate. The hypocrisy of the media to give the pass on obama policies that were inherently harmful and negligent...and turn around and attack every single idea of this administration. I’m really surprised some can’t simply compare and contrast...it’s now that complex. And the majority of the country distrust the mainstream media or at least holds a negative opinion of it. So it’s not like my position is strange or without merit. CRedskinsRule 07-03-2018, 12:01 AM The media has set this election up perfectly for the Democrats. They have been spinning the Dems Blue wave theory which is really a self fulfilling prophecy. This election cycle, the Dems have 26 seats up for reelection, and of that 18 will stay Democratic, so on election day, even if the Republicans gain seats (which is quite possible) the story across the media will be how the wave washed over the country. Even if the Republicans win all their seats that are up for grabs and all the seats that are considered up for grabs they would win less then 50% of the open seats. The msm media will be slobbering over the Democratic victories, even as the Republicans gain seats in the Senate. Then once it's over they will be crying about how the Dems couldn't win the Senate back. Here's hoping the Senate goes 56-44 Republicans and Chucky loses his lockstep minority. mooby 07-04-2018, 12:50 AM The media has set this election up perfectly for the Democrats. I agree that the odds are stacked against the Dems here. What's interesting to me is the slant Mitch and his cohorts are going to put out there to their base. Even if no Dems mentioned impeachment whatsoever, I fully expect the right to run on "if you don't vote, the Dems will move forward with impeachment." Combine that with having Trump in office and digging in the more we lefties complain and I fully expect the Dems to lose ground. |
