Yea, I'm thinking more and more the is our safety and "dime Linebacker".
Our tight end adversaries just forfeited a lot of catches.

Looks like he will be a safety

This is my favorite pick so far. Our defense has needed someone like this for so long. A Monte Colemen type of defender that can cover TE's.

or blitz ... he had 9 or 10 sacks

Heard he's going to wear #36 in honor of Sean Taylor.

I saw that as well, I feel he will have the biggest impact of our rookies

I would like to see him around his freshmen year weight ~215.

Su'a may not be interchangeable between SS and FS but as a true SS I love the fit.
Afterall how many snaps does Cam or Deone play at FS?
Plug Su'a into the box and let him wreck shop...as on old school moveable chess piece SS.
Run D, Pass coverage, Blitz.

I'm trying not to get too hype, and I hope he is granted the room to make the unavoidable mistakes rookie S make.

I like the pick even more because we were still able to get Fuller in the 3rd round, who I wanted in the 2nd. Adding Norman, Cravens, Fuller, and Ioannidis (I've read on quite a few sites how underrated he is, got a lot of credit for getting him) to our defense, we are greatly improved. Daniels is an awesome run stuffer, which we need, but he probably won't be in our nickel or dime packages, so he won't play much. Hopefully he contributes on special teams.

Su'a Cravens.

Personally I think he made a mistake not transforming/making the decision to be a S and not a LB and to transform his body from a LB to S during the offseason. I think the extra weight he put on to play LB slows him down. Consequently he didn't run/test well at the combine.

But, when you watch this kid on tape...he balls.

Wasn't his call- our coaches made him switch it up... They moved him around to cover up some holes defensively. He was balling out before 2014 as a safety and then stepped up when they moved him to strong side. His versatility had him positioned all over the field.

By far, the best pickup in the draft! This kid reminds me a lot of Sean Taylor. Love his attitude of wanting to get in and start working.

His versatility had him positioned all over the field. You're kinda making my point when you refer to 2014. And I get that he switched for the benefit of the team. But imho once the season was over however; I thought he should have declared himself a Safety. And dedicated himself to turning his body back into a S and therefore would have performed better at near 215 then at 226. I would like to see him get back to 215 and imo that speed and agility will return.

But there's no doubt the kid can play.
