I love the pick by the way. Just praying we get a big body for the line before this is over.

He definitely has some flexibility on where he can play, kind of like a poor mans Troy Polomalu possibly. If he's playing primarily safety I like the pick, though I am curious who they have their eye on for defensive tackle and when/if the trigger gets pulled.

If its true what they say about this being a passing league than we sure are loading up. Norman, and these two picks really should improve our game.

Obviously we are sticking to our draft board!

Can everyone stop using the expression "poor mans". It makes me feel like a cheap whore. Lol. Maybe one day people will say he is a poor mans Su'a Cravens!

I absolutely think they see him as primarily a strong safety. DeAngelo Hall is clearly best suited to the free safety spot with corner coverage skills (albeit diminishing). Cravens can hit, he's very well suited to playing in the box. And probably most importantly, he is an answer to covering tight ends in the slot, something we currently completely lack.

Great pick.

Remember, McCloughan likes his players big. If he envisioned him as an LB he wouldn't have gone with Cravens. But he's huge for a S.
