Gruden/McVay need to scrap the red zone play book and build a brand new one from scratch. I don't think the coaches are putting Cousins in a good position to be successful in the red zone. Its really our only weakness on offense. We fix that, we are a top 3 offense in the NFL.
They should be more creative with bootlegs or actually just running the fucking ball without gimmicks.

True. Our Red Zone plays SUCK. There is just no other way to assess it. McVay needs to get his head out of his ass and fix it. That's what he gets paid to do. Just FIX IT!

Honestly. I don't think they need to get creative. They need to be more simple. Stop trying to spread it all out. Stop having player packages with Ryan Grant as the single wide and running the ball or using PA with him in.
Line up in your bread and butter aka 2 TE sets. With Either Reed on the line or our wide. Run between the tackles with Fat Rob or exploit the mismatch with your WR.
We are coming out in these bunch packages and super Wildcat crap and it's to cute. Just beat the team in front of you. We have the better offense 90% of the time. Just like in Green Bay.
Also, We haven't run the ball on 2nd down in the RZ all season. It's a huge tendency. Usually the sequence is..
1st down run
2nd down pass
3rd down pass
FG
Need to just be simple but not predictable

McVay has shown a great ability this year to script drives. How many 1st possessions march down the field with ease?
There is a pattern over the course of the year. Move the ball early, stall out, then move the ball late.
I'm really not sure if he is slow to make adjustments or perhaps he sticks to a script more than he should.

Could not agree more. I said it last night. Dumb that shit down. Quick slants. Two tight ends. Run the ball. No spread. No fades. No god damn wildcat for christ sake.

why not line up Trent when he returns along side Ty and dare them to stop us running behind that..and you could always fake the run and toss it if they think they got it figured out..we miss Fullback sometimes .

I would start simply by having most plays begin with Cousins under center and at least one back in the backfield. That should be the base then design out from there. And lean heavily on the run and playaction passes. No more 5 wide crap. And definitely no wild cat play ever again.

Honestly I'm not really surprised that Cousins is playing well and having success. He just needed a chance to play. Even when he was having struggles in 2014, you saw the glimpses of his potential when he was spot starting. All everyone wanted to focus on was the int's, and there was plenty of them. But there was also plenty of good too. I always felt that the bad would smooth itself out a bit if he got a full time opportunity.

When you add age and talent together there might not be a quarterback in the league I would rather have right now. Anybody think of someone you would trade straight up for KC right now ? Again...consider the future. Brady Rodgers Big Ben all got years on him.
I thought Cousins could be a solid QB but I never thought he could be the type to throw for 5000 yards and 30 TDS. Never. He's definitely exceeding my expectations.
