OMG really? Being up by 40 points and throwing that pick is harmless, just because dude fumbled doesnt make it harmless. And the wind had nothing to do with it,it looked like he threw it into triple coverage.
The only reason his picks the past 2 games havent been backbreakers is pure frickin luck.
I cannot believe your reasoning, you cannot possibly be being objective about Kirk.If he was playing for another team I do not believe you guys would think Kirk was that great.
Going back to my comparison with Hoyer.Hoyer threw for 400 yards yesterday with 2 tds and no picks.Hoyer and Cousins career stats are very similar.Cousins has slightly higher td percentage but Hoyer has lower int percentage.Plus Hoyer played for freaking Cleveland.
Am I saying I would rather have Hoyer then Cousins,no I'm not but that's probably because I'm a skins fan,I'm a Cousins fan,and therefore I am not looking at it objectively.
Can you imagine Brian Hoyer making 17 million a yr and being considered a franchise qb? I can't either but yet we are thinking that about Kirk.
If that guy doesnt fumble the int do you still think we win that game?
Last week when Cleveland rb fumbled{and from what I read Cleveland actually recovered and it was a blown call, lucky again}do you think we win that game if we dont get that fumble? I dont think we would have won either game.
Just because we won both games does not give Kirk a free pass:rant:
But I can see from your post we are not going to agree on this subject,l just hope Kirk's luck will continue in the future when he throws more backbreaking ints:laughing-

He didn't throw into triple coverage though. He threw it to Reed because he read a cover 2 she'll and had Reed on a post which was the right read. Mosley made a great play and jumped a mile into the air to catch it.

He's completed that same ball on the same coverage 50x Atleast. He just missed that one.

Oh man. Hoyer has never sniffed a year like KC had in 2015. If you put Hoyer on this team he would still not.

No he hasn't. And I think KC is the better QB, but they're in the same neighborhood. If you put Hoyer in this offense, with these skill players I think their numbers would be similar.

These skill players AND no run game AND no defense....

]I think a lot of us have developed certain expectations from Kirk given his performance and output during the second half of the season last year. Hence the reaction and criticism.

That being said, I will admit that this goes beyond Kirk. The coaching staff needs to figure out how to deal with these 3rd and short situations.

Having the defense perform better, should take some of the pressure form Kirk and the passing game. Now we need to get the running game and these short-yardage situations handled.

I think that's fair. But we still have a long way to go one the schedule. And I would also say that we've got a tougher schedule this year as well. He may be a better QB than last year but may not have better numbers.

Well you can't just say no defense. They've been giving up yards and all but they have been taking the ball away and giving it back to the offense. And yesterday the defense was outstanding.

But again, I think KC is a better than Hoyer. No argument there. But I just don't think we're talking about a huge difference between the two.

I look at the Texans and they flipped out cause Hoyer shit the bed during that playoff loss. They panicked, completely overpaid for an unknown guy. Can you say that Brock is really that much better than Hoyer? I just don't see that much of a difference.

I was referring to our defense since KC took over last season. Hardly a good defense...at all. Ill give the Ravens the same pass as the Skins. Their playcalling sucked. Bye Trestman. The weather was bad.

Edit: I would not trade Kirk for Brock or Hoyer. Not now anyway.

The receiver he was throwing to had 2 ravens all over him, counting the guy who intercepted it thats 3 but your right it wasn't triple coverage but it was a terrible decision and bad pass, mistakes that he should not still be making.
I would love to see another angle on replay to see if it was the right read because I would think someone else was open, but I don't know how many other receivers they had running routes on the play.So while it may have been the right read it wasn't the right decision

This pretty much sums up where I stand on Cousins at this particular point.

Things that matter... no points came from the INT, and we won the game.

Everything else is just noise, including this odd hard-on you seem to have for Hoyer. Go root for Chicago or something. Who cares about Hoyer.

I would stick with Cousins. The chances of finding an average quaterback in free agency or the draft is extremely low. We should know.
