Hijinx, Schneed happens to be right on this matter, but don't let his tone or attack bother you. It's just his style.

We're all fans here guys. No need for the hating. :)

Kirk can continue to negotiate with the team on a long term deal, just not anybody else at this point. (the moment he signs that is)

In short: Schneed is an ass and we are his enablers because we find him amusing.

Join us in the laughter.

Kirk accepting the franchise tender is the best news we Redskins fans have had this off-season and possibly for a long, long time.

We have our quarterback!

Joe is right, I'm an ass. That's the persona I take on around here. Punch don't worry I wasn't on tilt; I take on the troll persona when trying to enforce quality discussion for the knowledgeable Redskins fan.

And Hijinx I have no hard feelings to you; I guess starting the name calling thing wasn't a great move, but I honestly didn't think calling someone a 'panicky little ninny' would be a big deal or get under anybody's skin. It's kind of a goofy thing to call somebody, I thought the playful nature of it would stand on its own.

But yes we are all Skins fans here. Like Hijinx, let's say hypothetically that over on a Cowboys or Eagles board one of those turds posted a link to this thread and said "hey guys, check out this discussion on this Redskins board The Warpath, this guy Schneed is completely annihilating this guy Hijinx with his immense knowledge of the franchise tag, salary cap, and CBA. Come watch, it's hysterical."

Well as soon as those assholes showed up I'd tear into them and defend you, because you're a Redskins fan and we're all family here.

:D

As for Cousins, many of us have been strong voices in the "Chill the F Out" camp, the strongest of which have been me and Matty. I think if you understand the relationship between Cousins and McVay, and between Cousins and Gruden, and the fit that Cousins has within this offense, then it was plain as day to see that Cousins does not want to be anywhere else. I maintain my prediction: they'll come to a long term agreement before Week 1. Maybe Cousins comes down a little bit in his demands because he knows there's no place he'd rather be than here with Gruden and McVay. Or maybe the Redskins see how Cousins works and how he progresses throughout OTAs, and become more confident in committing big money for the long haul. Either way, both sides want each other, quite badly. That's the only read on the situation you can possibly have.

And we should celebrate for it. HTTR

And now every Redskins historian need only ask how fast and how hard will his fall from grace happen!

Kirk Cousins accepts franchise tender from Redskins - NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000640924/article/kirk-cousins-accepts-franchise-tender-from-redskins)

The Washington Redskins won't have to worry about the possibility that Kirk Cousins will miss offseason work as a protest against the franchise tag.

Cousins accepted the organization's franchise tender on Wednesday, per agent Mike McCartney. The quarterback will officially sign Thursday morning, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

Once the tender is signed, Cousins will forfeit the right to negotiate with any team willing to consider the possibility of giving up two first-round draft picks in an effort to pry the former Michigan State star away from the Redskins.

Whiskey Fox Trot ..... i REALLY wanted Cousins to be able to negotiate with other teams bc I though it would help convince him to come down off his number.

Oh well, he's happy, im happy.

Now the the only waiting game is to see how high of a ranking Cousins gets w Madden '17.
