No need to. I'm 100% Skins if they play the Panthers. :joecool: Also, I don't own any Panthers gear either. Truth be told, I'm quite agitated we play so poorly against the Panthers year in and year out.

Being from North Carolina, I think of the Panthers as the Redskins younger first cousin. I'm obviously closer with the Redskins and would never even consider dropping them. At the same time, there's a sense of hometown pride with the Panthers. That being said, I would not say the same thing if I lived in Dallas! :)

N C Skins...he had a bad play there, it happens. Maybe it was a brain fart or a split second type of thing where he felt he couldn't get to the ball the way he was standing. Probably came out wrong by him saying he didn't want to injure himself by tying to get the ball. But Cam Newton is not a pussy. How many NFL QB's have you ever seen run the ball into the teeth of NFL defenses the way he does? And continue to stay healthy? Cam's a stud and a tough as nails QB, just had a bad play.

Questioning Cam's toughness is just fucking absurd.

He's human, he goofed big time by not jumping on the fumble. Oh well. Such is life.

Considering his play....he is a phenom that played his ass off this year...deserves the MVP and I wish I was as much of a pussy as he is.

I can't believe any of you guys are saying this....lol Apparently you don't know how Panther fans are taking this (not good) because they know that Thomas played with a broken arm and Allen with a broken foot. They were down 6 points with 4 minutes. Recovering that ball could have made a huge difference in the game.

This wasn't a brain fart or I would understand that. Him saying he didn't want to get hurt (even though he runs all the time) diving for a ball in the biggest game of the year (probably his life) is something entirely different.

Don't compare what Kirk did to what Cam did. They aren't remotely the same. If Kirk had downed the ball in the Super Bowl because he didn't want to get hurt, you god damn right I'd be furious.

Lol they're just words. Going apeshit over it does nothing. If you look at the whole body of work, you'd see Cam takes as many hits as any qb in the league. Evidence is suggesting he's not a pussy. Besides, who the hell knows what really was going on in his mind when it happened? Maybe he lied just to get it over with. Either way I don't care. They got dominated and they lost.

The answer is simple ... he wanted to try and pick the ball up and make a play on 3rd down, not dive on it.

Cam is in a perfect position and distance to dive on the ball ... if he wanted to do that.

Side note on this whole conversation: I've never seen fans of a single team taking such hard stands on a player not even on the Redskins. LOL. :D

I was surprised by the Panthers strategy on offense. I'm not sure how much difference gameplan made though when everybody underperformed.

OL was losing to their DL. They couldn't run-on didn't make lanes and RBs didn't create, pass pro wasn't good (to include a key missed blitz pickup by Fozzy). Cam lost 2 fumbles. WRs couldn't separate and didn't make any plays and had drops. Talib made Olsen disappear. Brown's injury hurt and Stewart wasn't the same after he got banged up.
