I'm wondering if we could get Matt Forte on the cheap.

Would you guys consider bringing in Ray Rice?

Rice was done the year before the incident, so no.

Ive thought about Forte because he is an underrated talent. I certainly think he has some left in the tank. Forte is gonna attempt to get one more big contract, and that's why we walk away. Somebody will do it...someone does it every year...and it wont be us.

Recent news on Reggie Ragland - Alabama Crimson Tide - Rotoworld.com (http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/cfb/133849/reggie-ragland)

I think Ragland would be a great pick for us if he lasts long enough.

Agreed. Better days? Yeah -- here's why: Scot McCloughan Greets Players As They Leave Field (http://www.redskins.com/media-gallery/videos/Scot_McCloughan_Greets_Players_As_They_Leave_Field/3e6edc35-ab83-4fd9-9239-4ea272be9c1e)

Love this guy.

That was awesome to see. i really like how pissed off our players looked after the loss. Let's hope they carry that feeling on into the next season.

My biggest concern for Jay is that his default setting is to pass. A running game requires real commitment and patience. To me, Jay gives lip service to the run game but, in his heart of hearts, would prefer to pass for two yards than grind it out. Scot, on the other hand, strikes me as a down and dirty mudder. Eventually, I see this creating some tension.

With that said, it is a passing league now and to try and win the way we did in the 80's is simply not feasible. At the same time, it is not a one-dimensional passing game either; if the run is not a viable threat at all, as happened Sunday, then we simply cannot compete with the big boys.

I really hope the off-season shows a commitment to getting down and dirty, to beating up the opposing team, and kicking them when they are down (in a nice-sportsmanlike way, of course). Just not yet sold that Jay is the guy to do that. Scot, yes. Jay maybe.

Isn't McVay the playcaller though? I'm sure Gruden has veto power if he wants it but I thought McVay was the guy leading the offense. Either way, i feel our more aggressive, pass heavy approach towards the end was by necessity. We haven't been able to run the ball since week 2. You should always play to your strengths, and that's what we did. It wasn't like we totally abandoned the run either. If we had a big emphasis on the run game and we weren't able to move the ball at all the coaches would be getting crucified for sticking with something that obviously wasn't working.

TL;DR: With new personnel next year I am confident we will see a balanced approach.

personally, i am going to forget everything that happened w our run game this past year. it was the most stubborn coaching decision i have seen in a long time. your 2 blocking TEs get injured preseason and yet you insist on running the ball out of TE sets instead of using your pro bowl FS?

next year we should have paul and paulsen back, and i think we will see what our run game was supposed to look like this year.

I voted playoffs in the poll

As JR said, we play a first place schedule, which for us translates to Arizona @ Arizona and Carolina at home(the rest is the same for the whole nfc east)

2nd place eagles get Seattle at Seattle, and Atlanta at Philly

**Maybe the 1st place is better than the 2nd place actually.

I see a lot of complaints about not running enough, but we were 15th overall in attempts.

With the season over I'm not so worried about the run anymore.
Reworking our TE staff and Alfmos replacement should fix that.
No to mention a healthy Oline.

that is a good start

3. I thought Knighton had a weight clause in his contract, do not resign him unless he loses 30+ pounds and keeps it off

7. running back

Totally forgot about RB. Good one.

Rite. We just average 2 ypc on a good day. Lol. Which begs the question why does everyone want to run more? We want to run more effectively thats for sure. They will fix it.
