Even if you go with Jones, my concern is the constant rotation at running back. The only success I felt like we had was either a result of the line earlier in the season or having backs like Morris get into a rhythm. I don't know many backs that aren't Darren Sproles who come in for a single carry and take it to the house.Guess unless you get someone like an Adrian Person or Clinton Portis, running back by committee really is as common now as a WR rotation.

RG3 is one weird dude.

His parents have been fanning the flame of his ego his entire life. If anything I thought this season would have hopefully brought him back down to earth. He's in a battle against any person or organization that doesn't happen to see his greatness. You can only get away with that attitude when you are winning. When you are not winning and have that attitude you just look like an ass.

Edge rusher (maybe Galette- but do we draft one high before we know he is fully healed and capable? Absolutely- as 30 gut said - you can never have enough pass rush)
S
CB
OL
DL
RB
TE (for depth)
WR

I agree, but it's like we let one back have a carry, rotate in another back. That back gets a carry, rotate in another back. I'd love to see ONE back get the carries for an entire series with another back coming in for only a couple of plays to spell the lead back.

My biggest concern for Jay is that his default setting is to pass. A running game requires real commitment and patience. To me, Jay gives lip service to the run game but, in his heart of hearts, would prefer to pass for two yards than grind it out. Scot, on the other hand, strikes me as a down and dirty mudder. Eventually, I see this creating some tension.

With that said, it is a passing league now and to try and win the way we did in the 80's is simply not feasible. At the same time, it is not a one-dimensional passing game either; if the run is not a viable threat at all, as happened Sunday, then we simply cannot compete with the big boys.

I really hope the off-season shows a commitment to getting down and dirty, to beating up the opposing team, and kicking them when they are down (in a nice-sportsmanlike way, of course). Just not yet sold that Jay is the guy to do that. Scot, yes. Jay maybe.

In terms of drafting, I go after D early and often. Safety & ILB - speed and power in the middle of the fiddle at the 2nd and 3rd level. We simply lack that on D - lots of good/respectable players but no game changers.

Any Ray Lewis/Brian Ulacher types available in the draft??

Just don't understand why he couldn't say a few simple things to the media..."really looking forward to a new chapter in my career." Instead he puts this stuff up from the freakin' bible?? And tapes it to his locker? I wonder how long he had that planned..

It was in his locker most of the year. His words whether written or spoken would be dissected regardless. I'm guessing he's just had it with talking to the media for now.

This this this....im looking for our Kam Chancellor and Bobby Wagner combo at SS and ILB. I know both these position aren't flashy, but positions who rack up tackles and stop the run. Physical positions.

Wagner is that volume, sure tackler who kills it in the run game. Line him up right next to Wil Compton.

Kam is a strong safety who is another linebacker who plays close to the line for run support and athletic enough to cover and help. We need this.

I'm wondering if we could get Matt Forte on the cheap.

Would you guys consider bringing in Ray Rice?
