All this talk about the QB when the D was hot garbage. Typical.

u would think when guys like Trent say "we have our QB" and others have said this, that fans would be happy esp after 20 yrs of having none.

Or the fact that we had no running game all season.

[QUOTE=MTK;1137313]Good for you bro, you're a prophet. Pat yourself on the back. Maybe you'll be right again.

I'm sure I will

I'm not talking about supporting a guy no matter what. I had plenty of concerns about RG3 going back to the injury.
Those are your words in response to me,you did not explain yourself for me to take it any other way.

Cousins is still coming into his own, but I'm ok with committing to him and seeing what happens.
On that I agree with you-if it's for the right price. If he's asking for top 5 qb money for what amounts to around 8 or 9 good games in his career, are you still committed to him?

Cousins throws in the second half were his worst since several weeks ago. You know why? Because he has been playing out of his freaking mind. He had a few off throws. He also had a couple dropped, and a td taken away because djax stuck his foot in without the ball.
As far as amazing catches, yeah Reed bailed him out. So too did David Tyree for Eli Manning. Eli won an mvp trophy because of it. So what? Who cares? You know how many "near" interceptions are thrown on a weekly basis by quarterbacks in the NFL?
You just have to realize that this "never beat a winning team" bullshit is based on probably 12 games? Most of which were played with a 4 win team that couldn't even beat bad teams! It is the dumbest stat ever all things considered.
Also - as far as yesterdays second half goes - if not for our piss poor defense he just might not have been pressing so much. If not for our non existent run game he just might have had a more honest defense to throw the ball against. You just cannot dismiss these things.

Whoa man calm down :) Focus on what I said in my last paragraph.Try to remember I am a Kirk supporter.
As for your last paragraph,so you're admitting he was pressing and didnt play well, lol
He hasnt had a running game all year,so nothing changed in that regard. Also the defense has sucked all year also for the most part. What changed yesterday is the defense didnt get any turnovers to help bail them out.

Question is do you tie up $20m next year or much less with a multi year deal?

1st in completion percentage, 5th in rating, 8th in yards per attempt and 10th in passing yardage. I think he gets $20 mil on a long term deal with those numbers.

I'll say it again, Kirk had a bad game cause the OL played poorly allowing 6 sacks and being pressure constantly. As the OL goes so does the QB. Perfect example is Rogers, he had an excellent game cause his OL protected him unlike the last couple of weeks.

Cousins sounds like he is saying, "show me the money" and that he is going highest bidder.

Even if that isn't his intentions or meaning, it should be. Let's be honest. Kirk wasn't given a fair shake due to Danny's love for RG3. Kirk was denied a QB competition that 3rd year because lil danny wanted his BFF to start. You don't think that isn't in the back of his mind?

If I were Kirk, I'd go to the highest bidder as well. Hell, even at the beginning of the year, we heard SS talk about how it was Snyder that Kirk needed to prove something to. (beyond Jay) Even that hug was awkward by Danny the other weekend. He knows good and damn well that Bruce and Danny didn't want him here.

That said, the risk you take by not signing him long term is the same risk the Raven faced. They went into that season haggling over 1mil/yr on a 15-16mil contract, and ended up having to pay him 20+ mil after that Super Bowl run (which is hurting that team big time). If you don't pay Kirk a 5yr/85-90mil contract and franchise him. Chances are, if he does very well that franchise year, that price tag will now vault from the 17-18mil/yr range to the 22-23mil/yr range.

I'd rather go with the 17/18mil/yr with a lower guaranteed than wait next year.

What I am admitting is there are other factors at play, other teammates at play, and that for you to blame Kirk for the loss is ridiculous. That is all.
