In just his first season as starter, KC became Redskins all-time yards passing leader with 4135 passing yards for the year. He did not even play the second half of game today, he would have had more.
Cousins also broke another Redskins all-time record as he surpassed Sonny Jurgensen's mark for touchdowns by a quarterback in a single season. With his two touchdown passes today, Cousins has 34 touchdowns, one better than Jurgensen's 33.
I wonder how those that said he was a run of the mill, mid level Qb, that would have more turnovers than TD's feel now? That he had hit his ceiling after only nine career NFL starts would never amount to anything.
They feel like they may have been a tad bit hasty,....
He is also the first Redskins QB to throw for atleast one TD in every regular season game. Rite now, at this moment, I would not trade him for any other QB. When you take age into the equation I would not. Wow.
Haters got every right to hate until a guy proves himself. KC has proved himself.

Luck. Wilson.
But Kirk is getting into the conversation. That alone is amazing.

Honestly cousins didn't really cement himself as a long term plan until the last few weeks. I'm big kc fan but I have this nagging feeling that the past 5 games or so were peak times for us. All weapons healthy, everyone in perfect sync, offensive play calling new looks, defense getting timely turnovers, weak opponents etc.
What happens when a smart coached defense jams shit up and causes cousins to go "off schedule". Dallas in the mnf just rushed and stunted the pass rush and it felt like the coaches were coming off a bye w time to scheme.
So the offense peaking together is a bad thing?

Wilson really is the guy I thought about, but I cant stand him. Luck is debatable. Agreed though, amazing that it is even a conversation.

Even the greatest of the greats have off days so of course Cousins will. All of those things you mentioned are fair points. What about the flip side though? More weapons and draft picks, another year of experience under his and the teams belts. Growing confidence.

Another McCloughan offseason. That's the biggest plus I can think of, and it's in Kirk's column.
