I will be pulling for you all in the playoffs--Cousinns being a Spartan, and me living in at least the far outer reaches of the DC Metro. It's going to take me suppressing memories of the 1991 NFC Championship game but it's doable.

Still horse this morning from yelling at my TV last night.

KC is doing great. Made great throws. When pocket wasn't perfect, still made good throws. At the same time, don't forget the line ... Most of the time, KC had some nice clean pockets from which to throw.

It's great to win and get in...but what a bonus to end the Eagles and the Giants season as well. Beautiful

One fine Philly paper, above a story full of unassailable facts, said, “A Loss to Lowly Redskins Would Be Ultimate Indignity For Kelly.” Other kindly observations included “the perennial laughingstock of the division” and “a perpetually befuddled [organization].”

The laughingstock is suddenly on the other foot. And the “befuddled” look was on the Eagles faces as a low snap, a bad pitch and muffed catch of that little flip led to a comic Eagles fumble and a gift touchdown for Washington — a 17-yard fumble return by DeAngelo Hall — for a 30-17 lead.

Those who love the never-won-a-Super-Bowl Eagles at least had their recent superiority over Washington to keep them warm. Philly has had a better record in 17 of the previous 23 seasons — and a total of 51 more wins in those years. Yet they were the squad that crumbled on national TV.
