DS and Vinny played fantasy football for years with the team, overpaying for history.
McLovin has shown us another way my friend. Simply follow the path laid out.
What are you talking about? We have FA's who were brought in by SM all over our roster. He will surely sign more of them this off-season. Also, there is no rule that says the Redskins must overpay for FA's.
What Dumb and Dumber did is irrelevant. They don't make player decisions anymore.

Not only that, after we sign out own (top priority) we will have extra cash to sign FA. I don't see a problem signing one or two without breaking the bank. Mack on this line would make our OL better than the Cowboys, cousins could sit back and eat a sandwich before having to throw the ball.

I would be 100% in favor of signing Mack. He is a beast and centers generally play longer than players at other positions.

I might prefer to let Scot find the next Alex Mack in the draft -- and I trust him to do it. Our needs are ILB, center, safety, blocking TE, in that order, in my view. If we're not going to re-sign Alfo, we will need some additional backfield help too.

idk why we are talking offseason stuff when the MF redskins have some post season stuff to worry about.
re mack - he didnt have a pro bowl worthy season (cleveland beat writer opinion), had major surgery in 2014 and he is still set to earn 8+ mil per season for a few more years unless he opts out to test the market.
at 30 or 31 years old, do we want to pay a center north of 8 mil per? i dont. i trust scot to address the position competently. we have options. keep lich (who i like but the tread is wearing down), draft a starter, sign a FA starter ... let LeRib compete for starter role next year? lots of options.

Oh really? That's why he got elected to another pro-bowl.
Cleveland Browns' Joe Thomas, Alex Mack selected to Pro Bowl - NFL Nation- ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/193005/browns-joe-thomas-alex-mack-selected-to-pro-bowl)
Pro bowl is a joke and a publicity contest and his best years are far behind him.
Cleveland Browns have Terry Talkin' about changes, ownership and Alex Mack -- Terry Pluto | cleveland.com (http://www.cleveland.com/pluto/index.ssf/2015/12/cleveland_browns_have_terry_ta_41.html)
Why do we want to pay 8-10 million per year for a center? Based on his dominance 3-4 years ago? That makes no sense.
I'd rather use that cash to invest in a playmaker somewhere else or use that money to resign our guys.

Our front office will handle it and get us what we need I'm not worried about that anymore.

Don't need a thirty something center at 8 million. No freakin' way would SM make that deal. Our next center is probably in the 16 draft.

McLovin didn't overpay for any of the FAs he brought in this year.
If we're not going to overpay then we don't need to bother going after Mack.
He is going to sign a long term deal with a ton of guaranteed money based on what he has done over the last few years.
There is a Vinny 2.0 somewhere in the league that will give him what he wants.
It's really a non issue. It's fun to window shop though.
EDIT:
Didn't even mention the really serious injuries he has gone through.
