Hes on my Peter King level of full avoidance. sdskinsfan2001 06-20-2017, 12:38 PM I would imagine that the team wants this to become a non-issue, which at this point it is very likely to happen. Best way to make it a non-issue is to not talk about it. Although Snyder did put in a statement about the ruling if I am not mistaken. Snyder has talked publicly about it for years which makes it even more weird its not on the team site. Oh well, I'll take the decision and reading about it somewhere else. Chico23231 06-20-2017, 12:43 PM He is entitled to his offensive opinion and may freely state it - hell, according to the Supreme Court, he can even trademark it. :food-smil hilarity... Mike Wise...very tired act. Giantone 06-20-2017, 05:52 PM The Supreme Court's ruling was a huge win for free speech. From the decision: “A bedrock First Amendment principle: Speech may not be banned on the ground that it expresses ideas that offend.” Matal v. Tam, No. 15-1293, 2017 WL 2621315, at *5 (U.S. June 19, 2017). The Justices were 8-0 on this. Ginsburg, Sotomayer and the others on the justices on the left reaffirmed this fundamental principle of democracy. Big blow to tyrannical SJW's and thought police everywhere. It was nice to see the court in total agreement on this. It takes the whole political aspect of it and throws it right out the window,at least in my opinion. Alvin Walton 06-20-2017, 10:51 PM Political correctness just ate a big bowl of dicks. SFREDSKIN 06-20-2017, 11:09 PM Political correctness just ate a big bowl of dicks. Now they should rescind the mascot issue on some states. Fuck all this political pussy correctness. CrustyRedskin 06-21-2017, 07:05 PM Political correctness just ate a big bowl of dicks.:rofl::food-smil insane4theskinsi 06-21-2017, 08:53 PM He is entitled to his offensive opinion and may freely state it - hell, according to the Supreme Court, he can even trademark it. still a mutating pile of blowfish shit. metalskins 06-22-2017, 11:12 AM Fuck political correctness. This still applies! Hail to the justice system! Hail to the Redskins! Put this thing to bed once and for all! Bishop Hammer 06-22-2017, 02:50 PM The name "redskins" wasn't a slur when it originated. It's not used that way now by Washington fans. It was used as a slur by novelists and later movie studios, some copyright holders in the "entertainment industry" thereof probably still having deep pockets? So why not go after the people who profited from using the name as an insult, rather than the fans cheering FOR the Redskins today? It was...over 200 years ago. Just like the words Vikings and Yankees were. During the Holocaust rainbows were used to mark gay and homosexual prisoners and was meant as an insult. Now the rainbow symbol is used as a badge of pride and honour among the crowd who uses it. In this day and age none of those words or symbols are seen as insults. |
