That site is part of the NFL network. No surprise or coincidence there. It's an absolute joke.

Nope, that's the Redskins website, which is owned by the team.

time for rich white elitists to move on to something else. The people who love and appreciate freedom won this one.

I agree, unfortunately they'll just move on to some other fake cause that'll piss me off just as much.

I'd have to look into that. I'd have to believe the league has a say as to what goes on teams official sites. Otherwise, whoever runs the site is just an idiot. This issue is probably one of the nearest and dearest to a lot of Skins fans. Makes no sense to just act like the ruling didn't happen.

Here you go: Redskins.com | Privacy Policy (http://www.redskins.com/footer/privacy-policy.html)

Don't see anything here about the site being operated by the NFL.

The Supreme Court's ruling was a huge win for free speech. From the decision:

“A bedrock First Amendment principle: Speech may not be banned on the ground that it expresses ideas that offend.” Matal v. Tam, No. 15-1293, 2017 WL 2621315, at *5 (U.S. June 19, 2017).

The Justices were 8-0 on this. Ginsburg, Sotomayer and the others on the justices on the left reaffirmed this fundamental principle of democracy. Big blow to tyrannical SJW's and thought police everywhere.

He is entitled to his offensive opinion and may freely state it - hell, according to the Supreme Court, he can even trademark it.

If you're right, and it looks like you are, why would the site not cover this story? It makes no sense to me whatsoever. That decison was a big deal for the team and the country in general.

The NFL is going to give this a wide berth and go all out to avoid dipping their toes in that pond. They are keeping out of this court of public opinion (for once) and letting Washington fight the battle.

I believe if the NFL really wanted to force any suggestion for a name change 'for the collective good of the league' there are avenues they could have taken already. Like not selling the merchandise in the NFL store, removing link references to the team website etc etc etc.

The silence of the NFL on this really speaks volumes of their indifference to the whole thing.

I would imagine that the team wants this to become a non-issue, which at this point it is very likely to happen. Best way to make it a non-issue is to not talk about it. Although Snyder did put in a statement about the ruling if I am not mistaken.
