Click on the article. And then click on the link to Alex Smith's name. I am pretty sure that isn't the Alex Smith we signed today.

If he can block he should last until the end of the season. Then the Redskins need to add a couple of good TEs.....Paul is still a WR playing TE.... Reed's a good receiver, and mediocre blocker

He played with the Bengals when Gruden was Cincinnati's OC.
Apparently drafted by Jon Gruden who ran a very similar O as his brother......

If they're going to continue to use TEs like they have this year, we need to have 4 solid guys on the team, and 2 of them need to be brawlers in the running game. Honestly, I liked our squad at the beginning of the season as pass catchers, but really it doesn't make sense to me if we were planning on relying on them so much for the running game why we wouldn't have brought in at least one stout blocking TE. It's a position that is affordable. I just don't get it. Unless they are leaning on them more because of injuries on the line.

if you are now watching the Giants - Vikings take a look at TE #85 Rhett Ellison of Minnesota. He is a free agent and a heck of a blocker.... almost like having 3 good tackles

Exactly what Washington needs

And he can catch too, it helps his dad is Ricky Ellison an ex-49er LB, so he's been around football all his life. The vikes like him and won't let him get away.

Niles Paul bulked up in the off season. He has good hands and a junk yard dog attitude. If his rehab goes well, we should be in better shape than most figure.
One of the first moves McLovin made was extending him through 2017.
He isn't going to be a 280lb heavy package blocker but will be much better blocking wise than anything we have had this year and is a legit receiving threat.
