Taylor would go for the tackle, not forego the TD saving tackle to block an opposing player.

He would have jacked up the other player later, when he thought no one was looking. :)

Yeah, its expected to be blocking when your team is returning a punt or an interception.

Browner was the first player in NFL history to initiate a block while playing on defense. Defenders try to tackle the guy with ball and avoid blocks.

Very odd. He should get fined. A peel back block like that was not a football play but a cheap shot to nail someone not expecting it.

I do remember him giving T. Owens a random forearm shiver as TO was walking back to the huddle. Play was over, Owens was walking back to the huddle, passed by ST, and, as Owens was doing so, ST just "BAM!!" forearm to the chin. It was clearly a "I'm a man and you're my bitch" move by ST.

Pretty sure ST thought no one was looking but it was caught on camera and was seen by a ref. I've looked for a clip but can't find it. I laughed my ass off at the time.

Yeah I remember that, still, apples and oranges to what we're talking about. Not sure I ever recall seeing a defender pass up a tackle and going for a cheap shot instead.

Didn't some guy tackle his own teammate earlier this year?
