^^ really good article with film breakdown of jarretts performance last week. really impressive. the article sd he played every snap? our nickel played every snap?

he seemed to always be in position on pass plays and came up to the LOS and made plays on run calls.

I was curious on how Amerson was doing ..sigh

"Fast forward one week and the North Carolina State-product has now found himself engrained in the Raiders cornerback rotation, playing every defensive snap except two against Chicago and finishing the day with 7 total tackles, 1 very impressive pass defensed and 1 forced fumble."

Oakland has the 2nd worst pass defense in the league, giving up 310 yds/game. (BTW: The Skins give up 210/game).

The blind dog with three broken legs I referenced earlier would be a star in the defensive backfield.

I'm thinking the "something" was ... "sucked + [sucked really bad, sucked last year, sucked again this year and we are now convinced he will continue to suck from now until doomsday - a blind dog with three broken legs provides better coverage than him.]"

I could be wrong. (Not about him sucking though, that's a rock-solid-take-it-to-Vegas-and-bet-your-house reason for him being cut).

Yeah....thats my take. I guess i didnt drive it home by just mentioning that he sucked one time. He deserves more. Good job. Lol

Did you realize our defense has allowed teams to convert third downs only 15 times in 48 attempts? Tied for second best in the league.

I know it is still early, but, if someone had suggested to me the above stat would be true after last year, I would have laughed my ass off.

Remember, breeland has own dez Bryant...a large, athletic wr.

This is a big test for Barry, interesting see how he gives help. I'm gonna be watching Jarrett, will he line up on the outside? If we had someone else that could play the slot I would want to give Jarrett a shot on the outside too. He's handled the slot well and his overall play and coverage have been solid.

But for the Falcons game Jay said that Breeland and Blackmon will start on the outside and Jarrett will stay at the slot.

...His draft report makes out as a linebacker type safety who doesn't turn and run particularly well. Here is his draft profile: Kyshoen Jarrett Draft Profile – NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/profiles/kyshoen-jarrett?id=2552593) Draft profiles are opinions, they shouldn't be taken as gospel; but more of reference compared against other draft profiles and games (if you're a draftnik).
Some are spot on, some are way off base.

But once a prospect makes it to the nfl and start playing their gametape is their identity.

Does what you witnessed with your own eyes match with the nfl.com draft profile?

Anybody else hear the story during the news break on ESPN 980 where Pro Football Focus rated our OLine the 2nd worst so far this year?

Didn't they rate the OLine last year in the top 10?

I can't seem to find it in print.

You know people are terrified of getting blown out when they are lamenting over the loss of Amerson. Dude was absolutely terrible at CB for us last season and what he did play this season.
