TheMalcolmConnection 10-05-2015, 10:19 AM Crowder is a beast. Totally reminds me of Santana. Tough, shifty as hell and just clutch.
LOVED eating some crow yesterday. Totally thought we were going to give that away.
Now I know it's the undefeated Falcons, but it's our turn to steal a game we probably shouldn't win next week.
The biggest thing we have to stop moving forward is letting people have break-out games. Bradford was GARBAGE most of the game, but the damage he DID was crucial. Bombs to Miles Austin (he's still in the NFL?!) and Riley racist-ass Cooper? Come on now.
Obviously Culliver wasn't right, so hopefully that was it.
Ruhskins 10-05-2015, 10:25 AM I loved the runs by Morris during that last drive and like the fact that Gruden didn't abandon the running game.
Even though the run wasn't working, by continuing to run the ball, it caused the Eagles to hesitate during playaction plays.
I'd like to see an equal distribution of the running game between Morris and Jones moving forward; and I like what I saw out of Thompson as well. I don't mind having a RB by committee, I think it is a good thing having three good RBs.

I've been critical of Culliver and was pissed that he gave up that play but if he was playing hurt which it definitely looked like he was, then I have to give him a little credit for going out there and contributing. He did make a few plays and and Bradford didn't throw his way a lot so I have to assume he was playing mostly well. I really hope we can add some talent and depth to this secondary by this time next year.
Evilgrin 10-05-2015, 10:45 AM It's nice to beat a team we should probably beat. Just don't want to get to carried away with it. Philly is probably really really bad, so losing would have really stunk. I just hope Reed can recover from the concussion quickly. I wished they would have stomped on them more when they were down.
Culliver was playing hurt, and Robinson didn't react fast enough with help over the top. They got us with play action in the second half a bit. Those plays looked funny, and I think most teams will watch tape and not get fooled again.
It's just nice to see young players helping.

This is why I keep saying we need to run. When you abandon the run, you also abandon play action and bootlegs. You dont just lose the running game, you lose 30% or more of your passing game as well since no one is going to go for playaction if we go away from the run. KC isnt going to win you games being Tom Brady and passing 50 times every week, especially with a limited offensive playbook. He needs the play action and some occasional bootlegs to keep defenses honest in the passing game.
TheMalcolmConnection 10-05-2015, 11:05 AM I have to say, they kind of dared Cousins to beat them and guess what? He beat them. I think the entire league needs to look at this game and realize that he can throw a clunker in there, but he also has the full capability to beat you with his arm.

We lose that game if Morris/Gruden didnt get the ground game going last drive. fact. Im happy with 120+yards against a stingy Eagles run d.
I thought the ground game was effective enough to keep the defense honest enough that Cousins had success.
TheMalcolmConnection 10-05-2015, 11:23 AM I also thought Chris Thompson was looking damn good. Hate to take MORE carries away from our workhorses, but he was getting the job done.

I don't mind having a three-headed RB monster. It helps by keeping the power backs fresh (Morris/Jones) and it brings a nice change of pace back in Thompson.
