HonoluluBlue 10-04-2015, 09:19 PM I always knew that RGIII and Kaepernick were not going to last. Every ten years or so we get told by the NFL that [Young Running QB X] IS TOTALLY GOING TO CHANGE THE POSITION FOREVAH!!11! and they always either flameout or get injured.
It's a drop-back passing game in the pros and it always will be. The cutesy college offenses might work for a year or so, but the defense always figures them out. Even at the most recent high-water mark for mobile read-option QBs, 2012, guess who won the Super Bowl? Joe Flacco, an extremely typical, pro-style, dropback passer.
Even Russell Wilson--who I really like--can only do what he does because of Seattle's beast of a defense, and because he's smart enough to know when to run out of bounds. I think if he was drafted by you guys in '12 your situation today wouldn't be much different.
OmahaRedskins 10-04-2015, 09:19 PM Rodney Harrison can kiss my ass and will be eating his words by the end of the season.
Screw him, what an ass.
SFREDSKIN 10-04-2015, 09:19 PM That's like saying I'll win the lottery tomorrow. All of those are huge ?s. as we've seen it's not easy just drafting guys and making them studs
McC has in 1 draft.

OmahaRedskins 10-04-2015, 09:23 PM Disagree. Baalke is as good as Scot McC as a GM and will get that team winning next year. He needs to do what Washington did, bench Kap. Their RT will be back next year, need a QB, some WR and CB's.
Sorry - I disagree. I will not say they won't be back in a few years, but no time soon. I do not care how good Baalke is, they have lost a lot of talent.
Plus they are in the most difficult division. Seattle and Arizonia are going to be good for a while. If the Ram got a HC and QB, they could be scary good.

What did he say? I dont usually watch much of the pregame stuff.

He said he doesn't believe in Kirk Cousins, that he's too inconsistent, and that the Redskins wins are flukes.

I hope we beat his beloved NE cheaters in a couple of weeks and shut his mouth.

If he stays in a WCO, he will be ok. Hes not great but is good with this type of system since he can do a 3 or 5 step drop and release it quick. Main problem is the turnovers. He has moved the offense, even in his early years, he just throws to many ints.
As for flukes, we flat out dominated the rams, nothing flukey about that one. It shouldnt have been as close as it was. The eagles just suck, cant call anyone beating them a fluke. If we had a safety that played over the top better, it would have never been a game. Culliver was hurt and playing slow all game due to his knee. Either our safety or DC (not sure if he was supposed to be there but in a one deep, he should be playing deep middle and help double the deep balls so assume it was Trenton Robinson making the mistakes) needs to realize that and give him help on those deep balls.

Oh I definetely think you guys should stick with Cousins. Even though as you said he'll probably never be great, he's good in the right system.
What's more, as someone who followed him at Michigan State he is an extremely high-character guy. You will never have any personal/locker room drama or integrity issues with Cousins. None. And that's a very good thing in a major market like DC especially.
