“It was just one of those games that turned out bad for me,” Breeland said. “All I can do is go back and refocus. I don’t get down on bad plays. I’m a corner, and I’m gonna get beat. I’ll give up some; it’s whether I make some plays. They get paid, too. It’s the nature of the game.”

I felt kinda bad for Breeland in the Giants game. He was very limited during PS, suspended week 1 (away from facilities), then week 3 had to step in to take D Halls place.
For the most part, he was in good position but plays just didnt go his way. I was hoping he would continue to play aggressive and physical this year and prove last year wasnt a fluke.
With Breeland and Culliver, we have w physical capable corners. That should open up options for Fewell and Barry.

Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall visited a specialist and came away with the same diagnosis as the original one: He'll only miss three to four weeks with a sprained right toe, according to Redskins coach Jay Gruden.

I agree -- the last TD he had a hand on the ball and was right there. Lucky bounce and great adjustment by Randle to pull it in. Hard to be too down about it. The catch by Beckham was pretty awesome too -- and Breeland had decent position. Not many receivers can do that. Those were the Giant's two big plays -- just happened to be on Breeland. I think he'll be OK.
More worried about depth. With Rodgers on IR, Amerson gone, and Hall hurt, we're really, really thin back there. I feel good about Breeland and Culliver, but we really have very little depth at this point. Not sure what Blackmon has left in the tank. Sounds like Quinton Dunbar is back -- he's intriguing to me. Great size, although little experience (obviously), but I thought did pretty well in the preseason under the circumstances. Maybe in time....?
BTW, I noticed that Bacarri Rambo is playing reasonably well for the Bills. Good players around him no doubt help. But given our problems in safety over the years (and he was one of them, to be sure, while he was a Redskin), it's frustrating to see that. it'd be nice for us to take someone else's project and then turn them into quality depth. I don't recall the last time we did that.

I'm sorry but Cousins is no more than a game manager. Given how good our running game can be, resulting in a much better defense; we just need for Cousins is to manage the passing game.
This week I go with the Skins .As they say "RAIN is the GREAT EQUALIZER" and it is going to be a freaking hurricane on Sunday so I believe you have the superior defense and ground game .

And if by some shift in the weather we don't get rain this is still a winnable game. The Eagles offense, specifically passing game still hasn't clicked yet.
We can't allow them to get rhythm or confidence. The best way to do that is to keep them off the field by running the ball and controlling time of possession.
Its not going to be easy to run the ball. I say again. It is not going to be easy to run the ball. The Eagles run defense is actually decent.
Not every run is gonna get 5 yards. There might even be some no gain or worse runs mixed in there. But they need to find away to run the ball. Imo the running game is still the best part of our team/offense.
Bring the commitment/intent to run from the Miami and Rams games. Control the clock. Miami and Rams iirc we had the ball for about 38 minutes. We need to strive for that type of ball control. Sticking with the run will force them to defend and set up play action.
Even if we aren't running the ball for huge chunks its still sets up play action. Many coaches believe play-action works regardless of the yards per attempt given up; provided the offense keeps running. Heck, some coaches believe in the constraint theory. The more success a defense has stopping a certain play e.g. run "action" look the more susceptible they are to the play "action" pass from that run "action" look. But I digress...Run the ball.
Don't put the game on Kirk's shoulders. If the Eagles play 8 man fronts don't immediately switch to "pass mode".
I think J has some good pass concepts against man. But before he dials those concepts up I would like to see Kirk started off with easy "openers" like screen passes, roll-outs, drag routes and play-action. Hopefully get Garcon involved early with those opening scripts. I know Reed is our weapon. But I feel like Reed is gonna 'win' regardless and doesn't need to get in rhythm the way Garcon might (I believe).

Everyone keeps saying run the ball but it's just not that easy. We don't have the 91 line. Defenses know we want to run the ball and they're going to look at the Giants tape. We're going to see a lot of 8 man fronts. Now that SL is out for the year it makes things even harder.
KC is going to have to hit some passing plays to back off the defenses. He's plenty capable, plays were there to be made against the Giants. KC just missed them. He can make big boy throws, we've seen him do it. He just has to man up and do it.

I say let them play in the rain unless of course it's like real bad but it's football!
I agree... Play the elements unless its lightning like crazy
