The Giants must win this game and they should win it if they have any character at all. Due to circumstances (Romo injury, Eagles in disarray, Skins just starting to build a team with a new GM), an 0-2 team in our division has a better chance of making the playoffs than they usually would. But 0-3? Well, that might just be a different story. This game is huge for the Giants and they are at home which should help them.

If we beat them, then we may have a better team than any of us thought at the start of the season. That would be so sweet!

He's not yet ready for the NFL but he has potential, so they're stashing him on IR.

Yeah maybe. But if he wasn't ready then why did he make the cut?

If there is a game Ryan Grant could break out, its tonight. This is a good match up for him.Prince amukamora(sp) should shadow Garcon. Jordan Reed officially has the attention of defense cordinators after last weeks performance. Also Spags likes to move folks up to take away the run...and with our attack, it will be Spags/Coughlin's focus tonight. Brandon Merriweather is a starting Strong Safety.

Ryan Grant bring your A game son, cause you will have opportunities.

I would agree here. I love the way we're running the ball and all, but we're going to have to hit more big plays in the passing game if we want to win this. We need a big game from Grant.

i wont link to his article and I feel like im the last one hoping on this bus but ...

Mike Wise is an ahole. He dropped another article saying the skins name change is inevitable ..... on the day the skins play a featured nationally televised game.

dude, drop it. move back to hawaii. listen to some jack johnson. grab a bite with colt. but just drop your personal vendetta.

This is a guess on my part: I think that Spaight is a person who made himself a draftable player through dedication to hard work and extensive film study. He is not particularly fast, yet he always seemed to be in right place in his college film that I saw. He's a blue collar player and the Skins have got to love that. I'm thinking that his work ethic and potential made it hard for them to cut him. We need to remember that we're building a team and more time and effort needs to go into player development in order to build depth. With that in mind, SM is going to use every trick in the book to stash players. BTW, Beathard and Gibbs were masters at that.

I think he needs to know our defense inside and out, study NFL offenses, and build up his body to succeed in the NFL. He might even be able to improve his speed and quickness a little. Let's hope he'll be ready to rock 'n roll next season.

Are we going with this for the game day thread?

This is a guess on my part: I think that Spaight is a person who made himself a draftable player through dedication to hard work and extensive film study. He is not particularly fast nor does he have an ideal ILB body, yet he always seemed to be in right place in his college film that I saw. He's a blue collar player and the Skins have got to love that. I'm thinking that his work ethic and potential made it hard for them to cut him.

Well your reasoning makes a lot more sense then being put on IR at beginning of yr for a concussion

ELI5 version: He's not ready but they don't want to give him up.

Damn this is on front page of ESPN today, damn we have been such a bad team, hard to believe we were once among the elite

REDSKINS NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME
The Redskins are just 4-17 in prime time games since 2008. That's the worst record in the NFL among teams with at least 10 such games in that span.

I'm freakin amped and its only 1100....

I hate Thursday games though....and recently I hate prime time games because well....we've mostly sucked......but with this ground game and commitment to it and this defense?

.......I can feel it coming in the air tonight
