Week 3: Redskins v Giantscalia 09-22-2015, 02:03 PM Martrell Spaight on IR (concussion). Man, our special teams seems cursed. SCRedskinsFan 09-22-2015, 02:17 PM I'm probably exaggerating things, but I think this is a make or break game for the Redskins. They have a lot of stake riding on this game. A win against a tough divisional opponent, on the road, and on national TV will make a strong statement that they can be the best team in the division and that they are not the old Redskins. It seems that every year we have early successes and then come a key game like this and we always manage it to lose. I truly hope things are different and that this team is ready to play on the national stage and have the opportunity of taking the lead in the division and sinking an opponent. I don't know about "make or break" for us at this point. Before the season I was struggling to find a game we could win, with how we've looked so far I have turned from pessimist to something better than that. I still have no expectation for the season in terms of the real goal of post-season play, but seem to have conned myself into believing we can win 8 games if all goes well. And looking at the division, all of a sudden 8 wins may mean something after all. So there's that... But we also need to remind ourselves that 6 wins would double our win total from last season, which would be significant progress. I guess I will continue to be safisfied with a competitive team that plays hard week in and week out. Been a fan for 50 (!) years and am reduced to hoping for a six win season... Kinda sad. That Guy 09-22-2015, 02:34 PM Giants are favored by 3 by the oddsmakers... trying to find reasons why. The only reasons I can find are Special Teams and the Giants are desperate at 0-2. home team gets 3 points. punch it in 09-22-2015, 02:38 PM I don't know about "make or break" for us at this point. Two weeks ago looking at the schedule I thought 5 wins was a stretch. Now looking at the schedule 11 seems about rite. Thats how well our lines have played though, I just did not see that coming. Skinzman 09-22-2015, 03:00 PM Im not convinced this is the easy game some here are predicting. The Giants are 0-2 but its not like they got blown out. They were winning both games fairly late and choked them away. Early in the games, they actually looked pretty good. punch it in 09-22-2015, 03:02 PM Im not convinced this is the easy game some here are predicting. They looked like crap against Dallas. Got those three turnovers or it would have been over before it was over. They did look good against Atlanta. warriorzpath 09-22-2015, 03:07 PM They looked like crap against Dallas. Got those three turnovers or it would have been over before it was over. CRedskinsRule 09-22-2015, 03:13 PM This is a winnable game - if we don't beat ourselves with turnovers and penalties. Sundays win was good for KC, I don't think he had an INT. Jones needs to show he isn't a tumbler because the Giants will be trying hard to force strips and fumbles. Its also a big test for Gruden because last year he didn't have the team ready to play at all on Thursday night Sent from my S6 Edge SFREDSKIN 09-22-2015, 03:13 PM Two weeks ago looking at the schedule I thought 5 wins was a stretch. Oh I see, now you want to drink my kool aid :) warriorzpath 09-22-2015, 03:15 PM home team gets 3 points. Still... the real experts are from the betting/gambling industry. It's interesting to see from week to week how many they guess right, down to the point - even factoring in the 3 points. While most NFL analysts from the media were picking the Rams last week to destroy the Redskins mainly because of the RAMS defensive line matchup with the Redskins- the Redskins were favored in the betting line. |
