Ricky Williams is talking about coming back. I'm sure we all knew, just wanted to throw out a confirmation.

In case you didn't catch Sportscenter...TheMalcolmConnection 05-20-2005, 10:06 AM Ricky Williams is talking about coming back. I'm sure we all knew, just wanted to throw out a confirmation. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/3627908 MTK 05-20-2005, 10:10 AM *yawn* PSUSkinsFan21 05-20-2005, 10:27 AM I saw a short article on ESPN.com about that this morning. I can't imagine wanting him back. I mean, no doubt he is a beast of a running back, but does anyone really want to deal with him after what he pulled? The guy is a walking drug suspension waiting to happen. He's a total headcase. Most of his teammates hate him. And the Dolphins have Cedric Benson now, so I say move on. mooby 05-20-2005, 10:35 AM actually they have ronnie brown now, not cedric benson. i don't think any team wants him after the way he left, plus he's bound to get more drug suspensions. TheMalcolmConnection 05-20-2005, 10:35 AM That's what I'm saying. Benson is like Williams but without the drug addiction. PSUSkinsFan21 05-20-2005, 12:16 PM actually they have ronnie brown now, not cedric benson. i don't think any team wants him after the way he left, plus he's bound to get more drug suspensions. My bad......thanks for correcting me. I must have been :Smoker: the same stuff as Ricky  Schneed10 05-20-2005, 12:17 PM It's Ronnie Brown in Miami, Benson is in Chicago. But I get your point, why bring Ricky back and screw up the situation in the locker room when you have a very promising back on your hands as it is. Daseal 05-20-2005, 12:22 PM He's worth it if you give him little guaranteed money and lots of incentives. He's a talented back, someone will try to get him, but they won't give up much to get him. TheMalcolmConnection 05-20-2005, 12:22 PM Wow. Glad to know that I paid close attention in the draft. We ALL must have been smoking with Ricky.:Smoker: PSUSkinsFan21 05-20-2005, 12:32 PM He's worth it if you give him little guaranteed money and lots of incentives. He's a talented back, someone will try to get him, but they won't give up much to get him. I think he might be worth it for some team, but I really don't think the Fins should even think about it. Way too many guys ready to slap him around in that locker room. I'm also not sure how much of a market is out there for any RBs right now. It's probably the position in the least demand. Travis Henry is still looking for a team willing to give up a conditional 3rd round pick; Sean Alexander had zero interest in teams willing to trade for him; Nobody bit on the Colts' willingness to trade Edge......it really seems like everyone is pretty happy with their RB situation. And if he comes back, the Fins would still have rights to him......not sure they'd be able to trade him for anything worth mentioning. |
