I think this deserves it's own thread.

"Kirk just named starter for 2015. Period.

I'm happy for Kirk, He's been a professional and solid backup.
I'm worried he isn't the answer but I look forward to seeing what he can do.
Time to move on from the other guy.

"It's Kirk's team."

Goodbye Robert. Thanks for the 2012 season. Colt is starting and playing the entire game this week.

Look at it like this, it was an open competition and Kirk outplayed RG3 and Colt in camp and in the games. RG3 was never able to prove it on the field.
Like McC said, see my sig.

Kirk will be much better with a much improved OL and running game. He's not losing this job.

the beard is getting no credit for this. without the beard, kirk looks like a very nice pleasant young man. with the beard, he almost looks like a man.
sarcasm aside, just the visual presence of the beard may make his teammates view him differently. hell, it probably makes kirk feel a little more bold.
beard = bold.
be bold mr. kirk and they will follow you.

Couldn't had said it better budw38. I was really hoping Bob got it together but it just ain't happening and he's become a huge distraction. The O has improved and Kirk should benefit from it.

Well coming from the Titans game from last year to this point, you have to give KC a ton of credit. He got better and earned it. This was a performance decision and apparently he took the job from Griffin. To me that says it's finally all about football over at Redskin Park.
With that being said, I hope Gruden is patient and let's KC play through his mistakes. I hope he is given the same rope that Griffin was given.

I think it was a good move to name KC the starter now and let him and the team begin to prepare for week 1 instead of keeping things in flux until the last possible minute while waiting to see if RG3 is healthy enough to play.
As for RG3, I really dont think we will ever see him in a Redskins uniform again.

Now Kirk needs to step up and make it stick. INTs must be down, TDs up. Obviously, the team is better right now with KC over RGIII. But is KC the future or just a caretaker?
More importantly, it puts lie to all the SI shit about Snyder "blocking" KC, etc. Gruden and McC prevailed. If there really was such Kirk-blocking, hopefully that will slap Snyder down for a while. And if there never was (which I suspect, at least since McC arrived), the MAYBE the media will pipe down a bit about the famous front office "dumpster fire" at Redskins park. Now we can just focus on the dumpster fire on the field, as we should.
