But what if he does have a source? Someone in the organization is still leaking information to the press that paints Griffin in a negative light.
If that is occurring at this juncture it sure seems personal.
If it is happening then scot must trade Griffin ASAP

RE: Jason Cole's: RGIII-Cousins rift story
I have a problem with this story like with many of the stories surrounding the Redskins. It supposedly has sources "inside the organization".
Regardless or veracity of the source's story; IF Jason Cole really does have a source that's a problem that has been persistent through the current and previous regime.
If he doesn't have a source he should be held accountable.
You still havent figured out Bleacher Report, huh?

Just out of curiosity, I compared Cousins and Peyton Manning at the same point in their careers. First 465 attempts for Cousins and 476 for Manning. The sample for Manning is slightly more throws because I can only split by game so it was either going to be slightly more or slightly less.
Cousins 284 for 465, 61% comp, 3429 yards, 20 TD and 21 Int, 3-8 W-L record.
Manning 269 for 476, 56% comp, 2969 yards, 21 TD and 25 Int, 2-11 W-L record.
You could do the same for many top QB's and get similar results. For the doubters, Cousins is doing just fine.
That is a pretty impressive stat...... the only thing Cousins is lacking is the last name of Manning

You still havent figured out Bleacher Report, huh?Jason Cole is national recognized sports writer/journalist. It is exceptional rare that media flat out invents a sourced story.
If he did there would be consequences or there would be if he was making it up.

Oh I know Cole, he's been wildly off base before. WILDLY.
THIS STORY IS BULLSHIT.

He also accused the "washington media" of trying to "squelch" the story. So instead of being more specific, he accused everyone.

THIS STORY IS BULLSHIT.The story of the Griffin-Cousins drama may very well be BS; whether true or not Jason Cole is saying that he was TOLD this story by someone within the organization.
That is what is troubling to me.

If your hypothesis is right then we need to start clearing out bad apples in the FO. Sounds like a disgruntled workplace. I'm sure RG3 hasn't been the happiest guy but I have no reason to believe that he would completely distance himself from Cousins or anyone else for that matter. The reality, and I never thought I'd be defending RG3 here, but the reality is that he's probably made a conscious effort to step back and let Kirk take the spotlight which is exactly what he should be doing. If we have people within the organization who are not on board then we need to be parting ways with them.

John Keim reported yesterday that RGIII was practicing with the OL 45 after practice was over. That doesn't sound like a disgruntled player, but a team player.
