RG3 is the only QB I've seen SCARED to throw the ball. He did get murdered tonight but a lot as is fault to.

He had Grant for the 1st down on his first read when he connected to Jones.

He had 3 under routes on the 3rd and long he got hurt.

He had Garcon on the hot route hen he got drilled on the cover 0.

I want to see more of RG3 the QB and less of RG3 the playmaker.

He's like Dr Jeckel and Mr. Hyde. Except it's RG3 is afraid of the QB Robert Griffin 3

this is what I thought...he is still doing the same things he did last year. I'm done with his bullshit excuses. It's time to move on

RG3 was getting murdered back there. I played QB thru college, and that has an effect on your ability to be successful. You have no chance back there if you have no confidence in your line. After those hits I wouldn't either. Even makes quick reads harder. Doesn't excuse the fumble though. Gotta protect the rock.

I wish it were as simple as better pass pro, and I never played the position but it seems to me it is so much more than that. Missing reads, and running into the pressure instead of away from it. Putting 5 studs on the line will help any qb, but I have seen him screw up too much with ample time too. Im afraid that the reality is the guy just isnt very good.

That may well be the case. But its hard to improve at the things you mentioned when there's a good chance you're getting mugged. He is gonna get David Carr syndrome.

Like I've mentioned, I want to see him play 16 games and see where he's at at the end. To play 16 games the line play needs to drastically improve.

Robert may be making some progress with his game, or maybe he's not. I don't know. All I know is you can't judge him based on what we saw last night. The rush was on top of him way too fast for any QB in the league to do much about it.

Our line was just overmatched, plain and simple. If it were a regular season game, even with Trent starting, we would have been waxed.

Detroit had the 2nd ranked D last year, their defensive line, even without Suh, is still boss. This is going to happen to us, we're not that good yet.

I saw things in Robert's game against Cleveland that still reminded me of the same old problems. But I'm not going to draw any conclusions on him based on this Detroit game.

If he's concussed after 8 plays and not getting rid of the ball, then I've seen all I need to.
This experiment is over.

At this point though it is just glaringly evident that our other qb's do not get mugged like Griff. They have the ability to move and avoid hits from the pocket. I understand that Griff has been injured alot, but that is a result of not knowing when or how to slide, not knowing when to throw the ball away, and having absolutely zero pocket awareness. Not just a result of poor pass pro. On top of all this though I firmly believe even if he could understand these things he is not a good QB. I dont know man my Griff is the savior ship sailed away months and months ago.
