Gameday Thread: Redskins vs Lionsskinsnut 08-20-2015, 11:30 PM And I do realize the line sucked...but cmon....throw the ball away Ruhskins 08-20-2015, 11:30 PM Well we're on year 4 of the RG3 Projekt. If we're banking on another 2 or 3 years of moving pieces around the fit the RG3 script (which I assume is part of the bigger Redskins Projekt), I might have to look into getting a Valium prescription. I don't think McCloughan is building around RG3; he might say he is, but I don't think he is. DynamiteRave 08-20-2015, 11:33 PM I don't think McCloughan is building around RG3; he might say he is, but I don't think he is. I guess I'm trying to figure out, what scenario do you see is most likely? I feel like RG3 either does decent and may earn himself a short deal or (the more likely situation) he blows harder than an F5 tornado. If the latter scenario plays out, what do you think the FO does? skinsfan69 08-20-2015, 11:34 PM What bothered me about Griffin wasn't the sacks. The line was getting treated like bitches. It was his fumbles. On one all he had to do was check it down to Thompson and punt. Why scramble on that play? No reason to be a hero there. On the other one he turned around and tried to run backwards then lost the ball. He really had no chance on that play as the rookie was getting treated like a prison bitch, but just take the sack. No reason to turn around and run backwards. This is why I can't stand these training camp reports about Griffin tearing it up in 7-7. It's bs cause there is no rush. Things change significantly when a real rush comes at Griffin. punch it in 08-20-2015, 11:38 PM I am tired of that word "rebuilding". It presumes something is actually getting built. Almost 20 years of this shit. Can you honestly say the Skins are better than last year, or think they will be better next year than they have been the last 15 years? Its actually more like 25 Ruhskins 08-20-2015, 11:40 PM I guess I'm trying to figure out, what scenario do you see is most likely? I feel like RG3 either does decent and may earn himself a short deal or (the more likely situation) he blows harder than an F5 tornado. If the latter scenario plays out, what do you think the FO does? Looking at McCloughan's draft and free agency moves, I think he's building the running game, the offensive line, and the defense. That has been his priority this year and probably will be next year. He didn't go out and spend resources on a QB, and wanted to see what he can get out of the QBs currently on the roster. Kirk Cousins or Colt McCoy could very well be our QBs this season and maybe the next. The team can get rid of RG3 this year without losing much, I think he's gone by the end of the season barring some miracle. DynamiteRave 08-20-2015, 11:40 PM RG3 didn't pass the concussion test. So, guess it's the Cousins/McCoy show against the Ravens. Ruhskins 08-20-2015, 11:44 PM RG3 didn't pass the concussion test. So, guess it's the Cousins/McCoy show against the Ravens. And probably for the rest of the season. Chico23231 08-20-2015, 11:46 PM RG3 didn't pass the concussion test. So, guess it's the Cousins/McCoy show against the Ravens. Well I don't want rg3 to be seriously hurt..,but I want to see cousins with the first team. DynamiteRave 08-20-2015, 11:46 PM And probably for the rest of the season. If they make that change, I hope they do it before game 1. The QB carousel during the season has got to throw team morale for a loop. Let the guys know what they need to be expecting ASAP. |
