DynamiteRave 08-20-2015, 11:19 PM You will have protection issues when you start a journey man LT, rookie RG and 2nd year RT. I do not remember RG3 having one boot leg or screen pass to slow down the pass rush. He should have been in the game during the 4th series. Just my two cents.
Moses did a pretty damn good job at RT today. I'm not buying that.
Scherff was struggling a bit today though.
skinsnut 08-20-2015, 11:20 PM We know how he'd do. He'd do great. As he always does when he's playing the back-up. But as soon as he gets a chance to be a starter, he'll throw three picks in the first half and get pulled by the third quarter.
Im not so sure. We've given RG3 chance after chance, and he gets worse.
We've given Cousins 2 chances...once, he was great and helped us into the playoffs, 2nd chance he was the starter, did very well...and then did ok, then bombed due to picks, then benched. You don't think a guy that is as smart as him cant learn from that?. I really think he can manage games enough for us to win 7. I seriously doubt RG3 can do that.
What was the advantage RG3 had over anyone else?....his wheels....now they are gone...he is far worse at running an offense and inspiring confidence. So why are we sticking with him...I have seen enough, we have 2 practice games left to prep someone else...are we going to waste 4-6 games and the whole season just to prove we gave him every chance possible? Why?....he is clearly not ready....either that or play him for 3 quarters next game to get him some serious reps...and if he gets injured, so what, we have little to lose.
It is obvious to me that the coaching staff opens up the playbook for the other guys. RG3 is restricted to the most basic plays. He plays like a rookie in his 4th year
That Guy 08-20-2015, 11:23 PM 2-0! lol.
Ruhskins 08-20-2015, 11:25 PM I think the first thing we need to do to start real rebuilding is get rid of RG3.
I don't know if that means Cousins, or drafting a guy, or bringing in someone who's already established in the NFL but if we get halfway into this season and RG3 is still the RG3 who's been nothing if not a complete and utter disappointment the past couple of seasons, we need to cut our losses stat. You've had a whole off-season to study, heal and work. You've had 2 seasons with the playbook. I just don't see RG3 coming back if the Skins don't end the season at 8-8. I'd maybe even give him 6-10 but I feel like below .500 doesn't bode well for a guy who has been squandering chance after chance.
And yeah he's been injured, but this is the year to put that injury excuse to bed.
The mistake this team has made is to try to bring a QB to a bad team and hope that the QB magically fixes the team.
You know who were Seattle's QBs in Pete Carroll's first two years when he was rebuilding that team? A washed up Matt Hasselbeck, Clipboard Jesus, Tavaris Jackson, JP Losman, and Josh Portis. Yet during those two years, he (with McCloughan on the front office staff), build the team that has been to two Superbowls.
We're on year one of the rebuilding process, all the QBs on this roster could be gone by next season. And maybe this team won't have a QB of the future until next year or the next. But if we're following the Seattle blueprint, the team has to build a complete team and not be QB-obsessed.
OmahaRedskins 08-20-2015, 11:25 PM Scherff was struggling a bit today though.
I would say he was struggling more than a bit and the LT was a turnstile.

Willie smith..,that dude sux.
DynamiteRave 08-20-2015, 11:26 PM I would say he was struggling more than a bit and the LT was a turnstile.
I agree about Scherrf.
Who was starting at LT today? I don't remember from the lineup.
skinsnut 08-20-2015, 11:26 PM 2-0! lol.
And tell me the total score of the first stringers in those 2 games.
I could give a crap that our bench team beats other bench players.
None of them will be playing.
We have a lot of talent on offense...WR's, RB's.
When our QB's could get the ball to WR's they were awesome. Our RBs were solid too. We just need a QB that can simply get the ball to someone else as quickly as possible
DynamiteRave 08-20-2015, 11:28 PM The mistake this team has made is to try to bring a QB to a bad team and hope that the QB magically fixes the team.

Well we're on year 4 of the RG3 Projekt.
If we're banking on another 2 or 3 years of moving pieces around to fit the RG3 script (which I assume is part of the bigger Redskins Projekt), I might have to look into getting a Valium prescription.
skinsnut 08-20-2015, 11:30 PM A true leader would put the team first and trade RG3 and rebuild with Cousins.
It needs to be done ASAP
