Schneed10 07-24-2016, 09:14 AM You can't call every military campaign a "war". Were we at war with Lybia? Africa? War is used too loosely as I already pointed out. When it becomes a situation when we mobolize a good portion of our troops to the effort, then we can call it a war.
So yes, it is a semantics argument.
Makes no sense. If we weren't running an aerial campaign ISIS would still control a lot more real estate and revenue generating assets, funding itself well enough to pay its soldiers enough to convince even young impressionable people to commit to their cause, even if they don't share the full fledged radical views. Money talks.
It's a war. You seem to be unfamiliar with the specifics. We've strategically targeted the oil fields, refineries, distribution centers, and critical infrastructure first. Our guys in the Pentagon have picked those targets for a reason, to degrade their capability to fund themselves.
It's as war-like a strategic mindset as you'll find.

If we didn't arm and support these idiots to fight out faux war against Syria, there would be no ISIS. In order to get rid of all the radicals in the Middle East, you'd have to nuke the entire region. Get rid of one group and another will pop up. You can't fight an ideology, you can only hope to change it. Their religion is much like Christianity was some hundreds of years ago before we progressed.

What is it you hope to change?

There are tons of things about their religion that could be tweaked for the benefit of all. Some of there practices are a tad bit barbaric.
Im sure they all aren't so brutal to women, etc.
This guy seems to have a handle on right and wrong. Need the son to "change" and be more like the dad. Well too late now but,....we need others to change.

So how concerned should we be about the Trump/Putin link?
I feel like this is some serious House of Cards shit.

wow really.
It's amazing how polar opposite we see the world. I watch House of Cards, and I see the life story of Bill and Hillary, I mean seriously, a good ole southern boy gets in, his wife doesn't care about his indiscretions if it keeps them in power, she longs to be a senator then secretary of state. Hell they even have her running for VP. I will not be shocked if one day it comes out that the whole series was based in large part on their lives.
As for Trump/Putin, Remember when Pres Obama told him just wait until after the election. My guess is Putin will try to talk to any US politician. I doubt it matters a hill of beans once the person is in the White House. But boy it sure deflects from the Democratic party's railroading of Bernie and their incompetence at protecting emails.

What if there is? What been the current administration handling of Russia and Putin?
Obama hasn't really done anything to impede Russia influence in the current world theater....so why are folks worried now?
This supposed hacked happened awhile ago, what's the status of the investigation? If anything this lax administration should be able to update us on the finding of the investigation...I would think?
I see a lot of folks sitting on their hands and the easy thing to do is point fingers.
Oh there's this too:Sources: US officials warned DNC of hack months before the party acted - CNNPolitics.com (http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/25/politics/democratic-convention-dnc-emails-russia/)
He's afraid of Hillary. That is why he is backing Trump!
You know.....Toy Red Button...Reset hillary....lol

punch it in 07-25-2016, 09:47 PM People overthink all this crap. Its pretty simple. Vote for the person who is less a scumbag. Trump stood there and clearly made fun of a handicapped person. Hillary, and any other person with a fraction of a mind or heart that is operating correctly, would never do that in a million years. Eff emails, political aspirations, greed, mistakes - leave it all alone - for Trump and her. You need look no further than this one action to realize he is the bigger piece of shit.
wow really.

Not sure how we're the opposite as far as House of Cards go. Man you really take things and run with it. I was just commenting on the TV like drama of everything.
You're honestly not concerned about their relationship, or how he's openly praised several dictators including Putin?
