when your talking 10 mil bonus and 26 mil contract vs. 10 mil bonus and 30 mil contract. thats a little more cash. i'm just giving examples , i don't know the exact numbers but come on a few mil dollers. he's a freakin millionare regardless of if he stays or goes. he loved the skins ( my ass ) he was money hungry.

The problem was all of the 26M was at the end of his contract, where as the 30M was at the begining of his contract. It's all about the structure.

what about the 10 mil bonus, fred new the skins were in cap trouble and couldn't front load the 26 portion. thats were the loyalty part should have come into play from fred.

Okay, I know this is going to be a shock to you, but we're a perenial loser. That's not fun. So you're telling me he can get more moeny and go play for a team that went to the playoffs last year? You're telling me he didn't grow up a Redskins fan? He doesn't have the loyalty we have? I guarantee that patriots would be a different story if they weren't winning Super Bowls. The Eagles are having people upset over money (not just TO, Cory Simon, ETC) and they've been winning a lot lately. Just how the game is.

yea and the vikes were awsome. come on, he went from the #1 d in the nfc to a very crappy d. he left for money , thats the way the game is. the patriots are the exeption. the eagles lost just as many or more players than the skins this off season.

A very crappy, totally revised D. Let's not forget they lost their best corner for most of the year, I think the Vikings will be a good defensive team and more physical in the offensive game (though they still need a back)

It's obvious that Rodgers will be a more solid CB than Smoot. He actually has similiar talent and athleticism of Bailey without the attitude or confidence. :oink:

Smoot left for the money.

I believe he did want to stay with the Redskins, but only at the right price.

Another team came along and offered him more than the Skins were willing to pay, simple as that.

How is that obvious? He hasn't proven anything. He was drafted higher and that's it. I don't mind Rodgers, but I don't think it's at all obvious he'll be better than Smoot.
