SO happy to hear this, he is a great player on and off the field and a terrific actor (for those that have had the pleasure of seeing Sharknado 3 like I did last night)

Chico23231 07-29-2015, 02:44 PM Congrats and well deserved. Glad to see the team do the right thing and get him locked up now. Schneed10 07-29-2015, 02:57 PM 5 years, $57.5M $11.5M per year, $16M of it coming in form of signing bonus No word on total guaranteed money, which is the real important piece Redskins sign Ryan Kerrigan to 5-year extension - NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000504702/article/redskins-sign-ryan-kerrigan-to-5year-575-million-extension) SirLK26 07-29-2015, 03:00 PM Wow, that seems kinda low, assuming the cap keeps going up. I was expecting 14 a year or so. I was expecting 14 a year or so. Based on what? Justin Houston is getting $16.8M per year, Clay Matthews is getting $13.2M per year, and now Kerrigan is the 3rd highest paid OLB at $11.5M. $14M would have put him in front of Clay, I don't think you can say he's had that kind of impact. Schneed10 07-29-2015, 03:19 PM To me it feels like it's slotted appropriately. Not too high, not too low. Deserved market value. I like that the contract doesn't take him past his 31st birthday, so we're committed to his prime years and nothing beyond. He's a very important player to keep and this keeps him at a fair price. Good stuff. That Guy 07-29-2015, 03:31 PM Good. I mean, i rather keep all our players for $1 a year if it were possible, but at least we're paying a player that's been pretty good for us. |
