From the CanesTime.com, not sure if I saw this Gregg Williams interview any where else?? If its already been posted sorry! I did do a search and found nada. . .

This makes me feel alot better. . .

Safety Sean Taylor (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=13&p=8&c=1&nid=1806826) has missed the offseason workouts, causing a stir at Redskins Park. And, though Joe Gibbs is disappointed he hasn't attended the offseason workouts, Gregg Williams isn't bothered by his absence.

''I'm a Sean Taylor fan,'' Williams said. ''I love the kid. He is so much fun to coach and so much fun to have on our team. It'll work out.''

Williams said it won't put Taylor behind to miss these workouts.

''Not right now it doesn't,'' Williams said. ''I'll see when it comes to the first camp, we'll see how far he's behind. . . . But he picks things up so well and he's so competitive. He's such a joy to watch practice. There's not a down day that he shuts down on the practice field. He comes every day. He's the best athlete I've ever coached and he can do things there's no way I can think of taking credit for. He possesses things we can't coach and he's a special, special player.''

When Williams says that Taylor is the best athlete he has ever coached that's saying something. It will be fun over the next year or two to watch Taylor mature into the best safty in the NFL.

Did Williams fail to mention that Sean Taylor is a future Hall of Famer?

He did say it's not bothering the team RIGHT NOW. However, I don't care who you are, the more time you miss the harder it is going to be to get caught up.

Did Williams fail to mention that Sean Taylor is a future Hall of Famer? No not yet but he did alert teams to bring a body bag with them for that poor unsuspecting sole who just happened to have the ball.LOL

I won't say that it's GOOD that he's missing workouts, but I feel that is all they are, workouts. It's highly possible the training he is doing in Miami is much harder than what even the Skins are doing (just look how many Miami products are NFL players).

Do I disagree with what he's doing? Yes, but I don't think it's going to hurt him in the season. Now if he starts missing camps, THAT'S a problem.

According to reports from the trainer at those workouts at the U, ST has only shown up once and that was to play a pickup game of basketball

Did I read somewhere that he worked out elsewhere? If that's not the case, I withdraw my previous statement.

Univ of Miami players who go on to play in the NFL can't seem to grow up and want to remain college students forever wo they relive bygone days and practice at their former college campus.......... come on guys, cut the apron strings and practice with your NFL team.......
