This is a fun read (mostly, there are a few cringe-worthy parts too) -- but it made me nostalgic for the Hogs and the Fun Bunch: Mind-blowing stats for the Washington Redskins | NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/photoessays/0ap3000000498365?module=HP11_photo_gallery)
Wouldn't directly say brunell belongs on that list IMO ... but hey it happens he's noteworthy at best I guess

DeSean Jackson says Philadelphia Eagles used smear campaign after his release (http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/13179382/desean-jackson-says-philadelphia-eagles-used-smear-campaign-release)
While I certainly agree with DJax, its time to move on at this point.

"I had an awesome year and I'm going to have another awesome year," Jackson told them. "End of the day, I play football at a high level so I don't care too less anything about nothing. Go look up the No. 1 receiver in the NFL. I'm the No. 1 receiver. So I'm not getting caught up. I know what I can do."

Putting aside the awesomeness of the phrase "I don't care too less anything about nothing" .... i like that he views last year as a positive one, i like that a receiver has confidence (required for that position) and it seems like he uses the eagles release as motivation.

"The piece also mentions the fact that much of that money was gone, blaming an unscrupulous financial advisor"
Alberts nearly broke? shocker

More revisionist history! He arrived in Washington so out of shape that he couldn't pass the minimum physical standards to even practice. So exactly when and where did he lose his passion for football? It certainly wasn't with the Redskins in D.C.
I think it was the instant he signed the huge contract. He was set for life then and he decided that he didn't have to work anymore because he was going to get paid no matter what. Everything he said about proving that he was worth the money, his desire to be in the HOF, etc. was disingenuous.
Also, I have never in my nearly 60 years of following the Redskins seen another Redskins player give up on a play and lie on the field resting while the play continued. That incident in Philly said far more about him than the baloney he's regurgitating now.

Shanahan had his issues, but he pretty much nailed this one.

Anybody else want to throw up in their mouth a little? Here's the source (http://www.theplayerstribune.com/albert-haynesworth-letter-to-my-younger-self/).
S/N "The Players' Tribune" is dead to me. Can't get any Washington athletes on there (excluding 1 year rental Paul Pierce) since I started reading and the first one with any connection to this town at all is a fat sack of crap like Haynesworth? Not to mention it was supposed to be "the unfiltered voice of athletes" so they wouldn't have their words misinterpreted by the media and yet all of their pieces read like they wrote from a template.

His hero was Reggie White, a HOF player who played his ass off, had fire and passion and class. So what happened Albert? You lazy, unmotivated, big fat lazy 300+lb giant PUSSY!!
