but it sounds like Skip already has his training camp hero in place and its never too early for that.

also, what jelly said in regards to expectations

I wouldn't call him a training camp hero of mine. I just thought, after reading about him once we signed him and them making a big deal about his bonus, that maybe he had more potential. Either way the media got me that time. Could be that im just not a fan of Le-Rib. Haven't heard much, or probably anything, about the other guy Nysheke or whatever either but he is second team going in to minicamp. I understand it's early, just like to know what to expect.

I have....grown to value B. Mitch's opinion. Good quick review comes :40-1:45 in

CSN: Brian Mitchell Joins Redskins Nation (http://www.redskins.com/media-gallery/videos/CSN-Brian-Mitchell-Joins-Redskins-Nation/2c934970-9c47-4ee1-8ceb-5a4e4be81b27)

Loved the B. Mitch clip. Thanks for the link.

I consider Mitch to be credible so when he said that he thinks the Skins will be drastically improved this season I started to get excited.

This time last year, right after OTAs, amidst the unshackled defense, and the rehabbed media day wind sprints, I made a bet about who would win the NFC east.

Paid up.

Almost made the same exact bet this morning.

Matt Cavanaugh provides consistent coaching to Robert Griffin III, Redskins quarterbacks - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/football-insider/wp/2015/06/18/matt-cavanaugh-provides-consistent-coaching-to-robert-griffin-iii-redskins-quarterbacks/?tid=pm_sports_pop_b)

Glad we brought in a QB Coach. I think he will definitely help. Not saying one will turn into a star, but I do think it has hurt the development of RG3 and Cousins not to have a coach dedicated to their position.

Not for nothing but, I'm really impressed with the coaching staff moves this off-season, add to the person ell moves its time for jay to prove he's our guy... Time will tell.

It seems like we're finally trying to do stuff in a conventional manner. Even in the past few years when things started shifting away from the crazy that was this org we still had weird coaching and FO structures. Coaches kids calling plays (not that he was unqualified or even bad at it but it certainly was weird in a way) a GM who wasn't actually terribly qualified to make on field decisions. Before that a HC who wasn't much better at at being GM than the one who succeeded him.

I do too. He values trench play, which is the engine in the car of a football team. It's easy to see that we've improved personnel wise in the trenches, plus Callahan.

Washington Redskins rookie safety Kyshoen Jarrett showing improvement - Washington Redskins Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/18048/redskins-safety-kyshoen-jarrett-shows-progress-on-defense-special-teams)

couple articles in here, looks like red zone offense off too a slow start again

However without hitting it's hard to know what red zone offense will look like. We need to be a team that pounds the ball in, and I think that's what they're going for. No doubt Scherff's selection is a nod to that.

We won't know how we're doing in that regard till training camp and preseason. The red zone approach for this team should be line up and maul people.

This is a fun read (mostly, there are a few cringe-worthy parts too) -- but it made me nostalgic for the Hogs and the Fun Bunch: Mind-blowing stats for the Washington Redskins | NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/photoessays/0ap3000000498365?module=HP11_photo_gallery)
