Long couldn't beat out Chester which tells me he isn't very good. I assume guard is his natural position cause when Polumbus was benched he still wasn't put in. He's obviously a big strong guy and all but that doesn't make him a good NFL player. Hopefully he shows up this year.

Or maybe somebody was playing favorites and starting someone who shouldn't have been starting

Im so happy Callahan is here. Done with this stupidity within the organization. Never know, Callahan could be the future HC

I would love to see the guys we drafted last year take a big step under Calahan. I also would rather have Moses blow it up at RT and move Schreff inside. I would rather him be the best guard in the league than a mid-level tackle.

That would make my line:
TW, Long or Kouandijo, Litch, Schreff, Moses

I'm done watching Chester play pitty pat hopefully. Anyone at RG would have to be better it would seem. Whoever can't beat out Chester at RG should be cut.

BTW I wouldn't expect a great deal from Moses. He's not starting at RT...he's not. We drafted a guy to do that. At best his foot is miraculously healed enough for him to compete and then maybe he miraculously changes his playing style to be more suited to G. That's two miracles all at once. Not buying it. He's a keep-around guy for development and insurance/depth at T at this point.

In fairness to S. Long , he was coming off of knee surgery . He also underwent an appendectomy last year just prior to the combine .

Why do i keep hearing this stuff? Just because he is not the magical 6' 6" height or more, or because his arms are not 1/4" longer? Mid level tackle?
All 6' 6"+ and long armed Moses on the playing field at UVA and here with the Redskins IS and has been a mid level tackle.
Schreff on the playing field IS a top tackle.
Players are best rated on how they play on the field...not by a measuring tape. Toughness and knocking people on their ass is how we should measure them.

Not knocking the guy. There is no shame at being rated #16 at your position in the NFL. For that matter, I don't think Moses has been anything close to a mid level tackle. I guess I should of said mid level starting tackle. My point is that it would be nice if Moses did pan out and Schreff provided us with the truly mauling guard that I don't think we have had since Tre Johnson. We usually have good tackles (Jansen, Samuels, TW) and we usually suck. Beef up the interior for a change.
