spAtt 05-02-2015, 10:33 AM Yea that SM, boy he's really screwed up his 3rd round pick, who does he think he is trading picks getting more and taking a Bruiser RB, how dare he!
I know, specially cause that player said he takes pride in passpro I mean who does that anymore?

You and I are pretty much on the same page. Adrian "Hulk" Amos is an amazingly hard hitter - and I mean amazing. Tre Jackson would add some more Hog-like qualities to our team. Harrison is a good OG, too, IMO.
To add one name to your list, I also like Durrell Eskridge at safety. He's all football player.
Shaw is the only one I'd stay away from on your list. Domestic problems, strange behavior, and making up an heroic lie about it just weirds me out too much. He may need a check-up from the neck up.

you could be right about Shaw, I trust the Redskins will do their background investigation - Shaw is a heck of an athlete, who might be worth the risk

Tre Jackson would be amazing next to Scherff. The right side would be fixed, IMO. I think maybe Tre could stand to lose a little weight to gain more speed/quickness, but he is a people mover.
What do you think of Durrell Eskridge?

just watched a video of Eskridge vs Notre Dame- I am not a big fan
I would rather have James Sample Louisville (if available) he is listed as a SS but could play FS

If our next 3 picks were Amos, then Shaw and finally Diggs. Then I would declare draft victory. Unfortunately I can't until this happens

I'm with you on Amos and Diggs but I can't declare victory until we get one more beastly OL.
Alvin Walton 05-02-2015, 12:00 PM Diggs is a bit of a hothead/pouty boy, I'd stay away from him.

Winning the offseason.
I don't disagree with these picks, except I don't think it's really possible to declare victory on this draft any earlier than September. Even Scherff may take some time to develop into a high quality starter.

People are making too much out of the pre-draft player rankings relative to the draft positions. These rankings are just collective speculations made by people who are no smarter (and many dumber) than Scot M. And for the first time in years, the Skins, through SM, have a plan. To make the plan work, you take the guy you want, even if he's at pick 154 and the pundits had him at 178. We're so brainwashed in DC to take the big name, now masquerading as BPA.
And I'm really liking this plan, similar to what the Caps are doing, and a throwback to 80s Skins football: Go big and physical and grind the other team down. Churn out first downs and keep the offense on the field long enough to get into a rhythm. Sure, this plan will be good for Robert, but it will work for any eventual QB.
I think they like Matt Jones not only for passpro, but for catching passes. So yes, a replacement for Helu who can actually help on 3rd down whether the ball goes to him or not.
And we haven't even seen the 4 for 1 yet, let alone how these new guys will develop.
