Sadly, he won't be 100 percent clear until after the draft. Which sucks for him if he indeed had nothing to do with what happened.
Yeah and unless he's HEAD AND SHOULDERS your BPA when you go to pick, you just can't take him.
If someone's remotely close on your board you have to go with them where you don't have the risk.

I would take Collins if he's 100 percent in the clear. You can put him in at LG and we're on our way to getting back to some serious o-line play.
This pick could make a GM look like a genius or moron depending on the outcome of the investigation. Do you roll the dice? Very tempting in my opinion.

Well apparently he's a high character guy that doesn't have the past of someone that would do such a terrible thing. I'd take him if he's there based on his background and prey this isn't a Rae Carruth type of deal.

I might be tempted to take Landon Collins. There are still some very intriguing players left, including him. With potential quality players left at SS, OL, and LB, it will be interesting to see what Scot does. I wonder whether there's an impulse to trade down and get some additional picks, having passed on that chance in Round 1.

“And I know Jay Gruden a little bit. He wants to bring back some of the history of the Redskins, and if you want to do that, you’ve gotta have the Hogs, man. And Brandon Scherff, a very complete offensive tackle at Iowa that has been well-trained by [Hawkeyes Coach] Kirk Ferentz, will bring something to the Redskins that the Redskins haven’t had in a long time.”
Love this quote from Jon Gruden.
Yes, we finally have two good OT's. It has been way too long. I love this pick.
I like his demeanor on the field.

So I wanted to find something that made me feel good about the pick. I am all in with Scot, but it's nice to find some nugget that makes you say, yeah ... I get it. Well this is mine:
2014 Outland Trophy winner --> Brandon Sherff.
Why you ask, does that give me the warm fuzzies?
Last 15 by year starting with 2013 (each * is a probowl appearance, an X means bust imo:
Aaron Donald *
Luke Joeckel
Barret Jones
Gabe Carimi X
Ndamukong Suh ****
Andre Smith
Glen Dorsey
Joe Thomas ********
Greg Eslinger X
Jammal Brown**
Robert Gallery
Rien Long X
Bryant McKinnie *
John Henderson **
And MY favorite! Chris Samuels****** in 1999
other notables: Orlando Pace, Jonathan Ogden, Russell Maryland, Bruce Smith
It may not be a 100% sure indicator, but there are some seriously talented football players in that list. I hope Scherff is a mainstay on our line for 8-12 years with a PB or 2, and if so, that's a great pick regardless of Tackle or Guard.

Let's not forget that he will be our emergency quarterback and punter, lol...

He's a top 5 lineman in this draft according to most talking heads. Taking a chance with a mid-to-late-round pick seems like a no-brainer.

I agree, and of course the police would want to talk to him considering his relationship with the woman. That's a no-brainer also.
