punch it in 05-01-2015, 09:11 AM With all the off the field issues he's had, he probably should stay away from little stunts like these. I know it was only "crab legs", but as I said, it just shows immaturity.
Yeah i hear you. Im sure TB's FO was thinking the same thing. Personally though I thought it was funny. The guy obviously likes crab legs, so no better way to celebrate being taken first overall. Hey if he wins in Tampa nobody will care, if he is a bust than yeah this crap will come back to haunt him.

How in the fuck did the Titans turn down this offer?
Two first-round picks
One third-round pick
Fletcher Cox, the team's best defensive player
Brandon Boykin, nickel corner
Sam Bradford, starting quarterback
Mychal Kendricks, starting linebacker
If this is true, Chip Kelly is a certifiable nut.
skinsfan69 05-01-2015, 11:01 AM I'll never understand giving up that kind of a price for one guy. If true Kelly was saved from his own stupidity.
jdlea 05-01-2015, 11:04 AM Thing is, if you take Williams, assuming no trades that made sense, then at your next pick, who are you taking? Especially as the draft went, you would go from the top OL guy to a middle of the pack at best. I hate to reference the Cowboys positively, but look what Callahan did there. They invested in OL early and their line is pretty :puke: good. I expect Callahan will take Trent and Scherff, and use Moses as the swing backup. Add in Long and our line can effectively maul defenses. I wouldn't be surprised to see a big G/C guy in the 3rd/4th round.
I liked Flowers (didn't like him at 10) and Clemmings (http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/profiles/t.j.-clemmings?id=2552365) enough to pass on Scherff if Williams or Cooper were on the board. I, personally, believed Williams was the best player in the draft. Also, if we're so happy that we have a great OL coach, why not take a project? If technique is the real problem for a guy, why would be have Callahan coach him up?
Look, I'm not totally unhappy, but I think we're going to greatly regret passing on Williams.
EDIT: Also, if the Collins stuff isn't a big deal, you could have taken him in the 2nd or later in the first, if you could find a trade. I just didn't see Scherff as head and shoulders above the other O Lineman and if he ends up having to move to guard (I know that's not the current plan) then this wasn't a very good pick.
Way to build locker room chemistry there Chip, uh Sam you're our guy now right?

We would have gone from the best player available for a deeply needed position to at best the 8th or 9th best and push safety/ilb back even further. All because a guys arm length is 3/4 inch short. We've needed to get a stud for the right side for 3-4 years. This is a step in the right direction

I think it likely we will never know. Tenn denies it and never has to justify turning down a King's ransom for MM. Chip has already denied it saying he never offered any players.
Barring someone straight up saying "Yes. CK was willing to trade some of his best players for MM," I just hope it floats around us an unconfirmed rumor in hopes it will erode the team's locker room.
If it was a real offer, both teams are nuts. CK for making it and Tenn for turning it down. MM better be a perennial pro bowler.

I don't know what's funnier, the subject of the article or Florio being referred to as the "adult".
