New Look Defense

...So if you held a gun to my head, id say our run defense is stout in '15, but we will continue to struggle to pressure the qb, and due to our weak center field, we will get blown up down the middle 1-2 a game.I agree with a lot of what you said. But I disagree about the lack of pressure. Stephen Paea alone adds a lot of pressure and Knighton provides interior pass rush pressure. And interior pressure or lack thereof was a major weakness in the pass rush from my view.

Not sure if you're a metrics guy (I am) but where do you think the D will rank this year say as far as rush or sacks or pressures go?

Overall Defense: 30th

Pass Defense: 32nd Dead Dog Last

Rush Defense: 9th

I like the above FBO defensive stats because raw yards and even points doesn't completely isolate the defense from special teams and offense.

Other stats I like to judge the defense:

YPA against: 8.2 tied w/ ATL for Dead Dog Last

Total Interceptions: 7 tied for 4th least

Sacks: 36 tied for 21st

Hopefully, the "New Look" includes better tackling:
