His knee is healing and he is rehabbing it and that is certainly positive.

Now, can anyone tell me what is happening - in a postive sense of course - with Lavar's arbitration hearing relative to his grievance with the Skins? I didn't think so.

His knee is getting better but we have ZERO information that tells us that his attitude and his sense of belonging here is getting any better. Remember, he has a big time contract with the Skins that has huge cap/dead money implications - whether or not he wins or loses that arbitration hearing. And his long term value on the field is definitely related to his "happiness" with the organization and the way his contract "misunderstanding" is adjudicated.

The latest speculation on the arbitration hearing date I read about was in August 2005 which would be right about when training camp is breaking and the team is getting ready for Game 1. Oh swell!!

Why does the arbitration hearing date keep getting pushed back? Is it the Redskins asking for more time or is it Arrington?

The Redskins asked for the latest "delay" in the proceedings. I don't know if Arrington asked for any of the previous delays.

Yeah. I dont really understand why the Skins' keep pushing for these delays. There is no way they can lose if LaVar signed a contract. Period. I guess I see why they didnt want to deal with it in season, but I dont get why they are pushing it back more.
