Listen, I'm not defending Winslow. His mouth is too damn big. However, the guy had a motorcycle accident. IT HAPPENS! You can be just as seriously injured in a car, but we don't make them walk to work.

True...however I believe riding on a motorcycle has a much higher risk factor than riding in a car.

Didn't Matt Turk get into trouble his last year here because he lied to the team about his broken finger? I think he broke it playing bball and said that he did it weight lifting or something bogus like that.

Yeah, especially for someone who doesn't know how to ride properly or use the strap on the helmet.

All this talk about his injuries and I have yet to see anywhere the extent of his injuries, does anyone know? Will they keep him out of the lineup this season?

Everyone has been tight lipped about his injuries. Part of the reason little has come out is that there are interal injuries. Tests are needed to find out the extent of the injuries. There was swelling that the doctors wanted to wait on before they did further tests. My guess is that the public will hear something in 2-3 days but that it may be a few months before he can play or practice.

What's he doing on a bike anyway, and with no license??

He had a helmet on but it wasn't strapped on.

Really smart kid.

Being thrown off a bike at 35 mph could cause some significant injuries. He'll be lucky to walk away with nothing but bumps and bruises.

Daseal, you're struggling with the laws of probability. On which type of motor vehicle are you more likely to die or be seriously hurt:

A) Car
B) Motorcycle

The point is, why drive a motorcycle when you can just drive a car? They both get you places. He wanted to ride the motorbike because he thought it would be fun, and that's just plain stupid, because everybody knows it's not safe. This stuff doesn't "HAPPEN", it's the result of a risky decision. It's especially stupid when you have millions of dollars on the line.

Schneed - I said earlier something like 60% of people Winslow's age have an accident on a bike. Obviously a bike has a much higher danger rate. However, you can get hurt so many ways.

Dumb decision.

Over the last few years bikes have become another one of the must have toys for the rich boys, even the ones who know nothing about them. The model of bike he had was a pretty powerful sports bike, especially for a first time rider. My guess is he missed the brake, accelerated, hit the curb, and went a&$ over teakettle. Big guys like him are a lot less nimble on a small bike.
