Every year all of the Miami players go and work out at UM. They have been doing it for years and they generally tend to be some of the better players in the NFL. There will be plenty of time during mini camps and regular camp for them to work out with the team. The NFL is really high on the talent that comes out of Miami every year so why do they have a problem if those players want to keep doing the same things every year that have made them so successful. Do you really think that the offseason workouts are going to be the reason Patrick Ramsey cant connect with Santana Moss in the regular season. I don't think so. If training down in Miami will make Sean and Santana better, I am all for it!!! They will be here when camp starts and they will probably be in better shape than anyone else.

Great points here, but they are redskins now not Hurricanes, I couldn't imagine that happening back in Gibbs first stint you know? I know the game has changed, but I like what Gibbs is trying to instill in these players through these "Voluntary" workouts. We need the CHEMISTRY!!!

I'm OK with them training in Miami, I'd prefer to have them with the rest of the team. What I DO have a problem with, is them asking for contracts when neither deserves a new one.

I'm the same way. I would rather have them with the team, but I'm not that mad at them for being in Miami. From what I hear those workouts are twice as hard as anything the NFL teams do.

hey cmon the skins aren't the only team with this problem. the giants were probably pissed that shockey wasn't at team workouts, the ravens are probably mad that ray lewis and ed reed aren't at team workouts, and all the other teams with good miami players are probably pissed also. and lavar probably said those things at the heat of the moment. im sure he's still not pissed at the redskins right now.

Yeah, LaVar is kind of like my girlfriend. She's a fireball but she gets over it in the snap of a finger.

I have no problem with them working out in Miami either, I do have a problem with Taylor not calling Gibbs back that just makes for a strange work enviorment when traing camp does start. As for new contracts, I dont believe that Moss has ground to stand on, I mean he was traded, that is part of the business, that does not mean that he is intitled to a new contract, the Redskins took on his contract via trade.

As for Taylor, I dont believe that he needs a new contract per say,but maybe restructure it to make him and the team both happy. I do think that the FO took advantage of Taylors agent, but that goes with the territory.

Well Moss IS due a contract soon. I think he only has one year left on his current one. He DOESN'T however, deserve the money that I'm sure Rosenhaus will ask for from the Skins.

I deffinitly agree about that Rosenhaus will ask for the Denver Mint for Moss. I still think that Moss has alot to do to get that kind of money...

I think it was Taylor who switched his agent a couple of times right??? No one told him to fire Drew, hire a new guy, fire him and rehire Drew...

Alot of the players put alot of trust in there agents to do what is best for them, thats why they have agents. Taylors agent that layed down on the negotations is more at fault than Taylor, IMO.

I agree that if Taylor didnt like the contract he should not have signed, but in his deffense, it wasnt his job to decide on the contract that is what the agent gets paid to do, Taylors job is to layout TO or anyother WR that crosses his path and as a rookie I would say that he did pretty good.

I do think that Taylor got shafted by his agent, at the time, getting him to sign such a long contract for that ammount, but Taylor did play musical agents during the off-season last year so go figure...
