What was the rationale for keeping Bowen last year coming off an injury with a huge cap hit?

Haslett loved Bowen. It could have alsoe been a release fee issue, cutting him cost us as much as keeping him.?.?
Between Bowen and Orakpo we had a ton of money tied up on two guys that did very little last season.

Larsen looks good on paper- 5.1 speed 36 BP reps.... must look bad on the field

I agree, Larsen could be someone who could be coached up.... plus he will be cheap. The Redskins need to bring in 10-20 of these type of players, and maybe 2 or 3 will develop.

Randy Starks is expected to be cut- how about a one year contract if you can get a hometown discount ?

then cut Bowen, and Coefield ..... and save $$$$$$$$$
