1st one I would say they needed an Eli Manning type of QB. One who just needs to be clutch. I'll give you the first one that they didn't need elite play for that super bowl. They still needed a clutch QB but not an elite QB

Second one is definitely not true. They almost gave up 400 yards of offense and kept giving up big play after big play. They needed 32 points to win the game. Tom Brady had to throw the ball almost 50 times for 350 yards and 3 touchdowns.

You are correct. Maybe it was one of the other games leading up to the SB I was thinking about where he played like dog shit. I just know he's had some bad games and still got wins. I find it interesting looking at past and current QB ratings for the post-season.

I do find it funny the Pats were seconds away from losing this game, probably should have lost, then a miracle play happens and all of a sudden everyone is gushing about Brady as if he picked off the pass. He played a great game don't get me wrong, but the game was out of his hands at that point. We could very easily be sitting here talking about his 3rd straight SB loss.

What about the fact that if not for a "miracle play " going in seattles favor than Brady drives down the field against a superb defense on the biggest stage to win his fourth superbowl? If you are going to bring up the INT than bring up the catch as well that put them down there at the goalline to begin with.
Brady deserves gushing. No shame in it. Dudes a rock star. People hate him. Oh well. Their run game did not exist. He picked apart what some consider one of the best pass d's of all time on the biggest stage. If gushing at that is wrong than i dont wanna be rite.
Edit: that catch by Seattle was a miracle. Ball bounced around in miraculous fashion. The INT was a freakin great read and play not a miracle at all as a matter of fact.

It wouldn't have mattered if he'd won or lost. How many QB get to 6 SB's? None.

There's so much more to these games than who's under center.

Nobody is doubting that. People or i should say a person is doubting that a who was under center for the Pats had little to do with it. It was giftwrapped for him? 37-50 for 300+ and 4 TD's - 57 rushing yards - no run support at all basically ! Against that secondary? To say that is giftwrapped for Brady is just nonsense. He was the MVP and he deserved it 110%!

To me that's what gets overlooked. He's proven it over and over that he can carry the offense w/out any kind of run game... against a great defense. How many QB's in the NFL can do that? Not very many.

quinn had no answer for the Pats scheme of clearing out space, isolating sherman and using vereen/edelman to leak out of the back and into the previously cleared out open area.

really surprised they seahawks stayed in that soft shell D.

it wasnt like the Pats were trying new stuff. it was the same offensive play calling as the ravens and colts.

a good bit of talking heads are saying the pats short pass timing offense is like a run game - control clock and take 3-7 yards at a time.

seems like straight west coast offense to me, just run at a much more efficient level.

Ignore the nonsense. Brady is great no doubt. Shame though that 95% of the conversation today is focused on him though.

Gotta say Seattle has no class.

That Doug Baldwin celebration

The brawl after the turnover

Sherman calling out revis

Pete Carroll laughing on the sidelines when things were going good.

Really no class on a major stage
