I remember having this debate a while back, so...

They need to make that happen.

They need to hire a very experienced QB coach who has been successful in the NFL - a true mentor who will command the respect of his pupils (Don't anybody say Zorn; I know how you wiseacres think!). This is a critically important hire, IMO.

Jay Gruden needs as many self-starters who have "seen it all" as he can get on his staff so he can point them at a problem and expect it to get fixed. I say that because I think Jay bit off more than he could chew last season and he needs some wise heads to relieve his burden and advise him while he develops as an NFL HC. This ain't the UFL, Jay!

I believe in hiring people to work for you who are smarter than you are. It makes you more successful, eases your workload, and reduces stress.

I would ask Tavita Pritchard, Stanford's QB coach. At Stanford they use virtual reality system to allow back up qb's to run through scenarios and make reads. I would like to see the Skins to be the first to use it in the NFL.

Per Dianna Russini:
Vic Fangio will meet with the Chicago Bears first, then he will come to Washington DC to interview for defensive coordinator.

I hope Fangio makes it to DC before he decides on his next DC job. John Fox and crew may not let him leave the building without signing a contract.

The thought process is probably that an offer in hand from another team will make the Skins drop some cash.

Thats what I'm hoping; a ploy to leverage more money from Snyder.

Chicago and Fox also like Dennis Allen as a possible DC.

Per Jason La Canfora: Vic Fangio, who also drew interest from the Bears and others, is now meeting with the Skins, who have very serious intent.
