I guess it wasn't meant to be. I guess people forget it takes both sides to have an interest for someone to get hired.

Tells you lots "@AaronLemingNFL: the #Redskins planned on making Fangio highest paid DC in the league. See if that holds true with Bears”
i dont think people forget...if anything it reminds people of what a shit organization Dan Snyder has turned this franchise into. Money wont even bring people here anymore. Its called being a toxic organization

Say goodbye to defensive free agents like RAK....
Good luck to the skins attracting any defensive free agents!
Making a bad coach has a domino effect with our ability to attract talent.
This GUARANTEES we must build with the draft.
Who wants to go to a 4-12 team with a unproven coach..a meddling owner, a good old boy president and the historically worst defensive coordinator of all time?
WOW....wonder if someone has started drinking again?

Right. But hiring another "savior" wasn't going to be any better. The talent here is bad. Building through the draft is a good way to build--but it takes time. We are not going to be good for a while. Get used to it. It's false expectations of a quick fix that have led to lots of the trouble here. Barry is someone willing to come. That's about what it should be, in my opinion. Glad Danny's magic check book didn't work. Tired of that.

Bruce Millen is worse than Vinny. Our on-field record is far worse with Bruce. And Bruce is even more buddy-buddy with Snyder, meaning that Snyder will resist firing him even more. We'll need multiple trucks with signs to get rid of Bruce Millen.

Well, someone hired McC. It's been, what, 2 weeks? Give it a few more, maybe?

Or shit talent. You can't coach what's not there. Jay is certainly on the hot seat, but we're at the beginning of a long rebuilding process. Why sign on here now? Good DCs are in demand.
I agree, Fangio made the smart choice for his career in going to Chicago.
Meanwhile, Washington was Barry's only defensive coordinator option so of course he jumped at the chance.

Seriously?
Are you saying you are glad we didn't get a DC with a proven track record to help us rebuild our talent?
Fangio is no savior...he was ok outside of the 49ers.
No one expected a quick fix.
But when you fire a guy that has 10x more experience and puts together 20th ranked defenses...you don't replace him with a guy who is leading the defense of the laughing stock of 100 years of NFL history....just because he knows the guys and has "energy".
It's not like there aren't guys with better track records out there.
I frankly would have preferred they kept Has-been.
At least then the defensive players aren't dreading that is could get even worst. Hope is a great motivator...anybody but Barry would have created that.

Danny's checkbook couldn't save us this time. I think Gruden wanted his buddy Barry all along and Allen was down for whatever but the buzz got back to the front office somehow that fans were outraged hearing Barry all ready being selected with much better candidates out there. Dan looking at this from a business perspective sees decreased revenue next year and steps in tells these clowns they better interview the best qualified and he has no problem paying top dollar.
These d coordinators never wanted to coach here even though they agreed to the interview. Just using the skins as leverage to drive up the price for the gig they really wanted (Fangio-Bears). A proven D coordnator like Fangio or Phillips doesn't want to coach for an organization with currently no vision, work with Jay Gruden who's way in over his head and will most likely get canned next season, take over a defense with no play makers except Kerrigan, aging injury prone vets (Hall, Orakpo, Cofield, Hatcher, Clark, Porter), and has one of the worst secondaries in the league talent wise. Oh, and the never ending media drama of RG3 I'm sure was a selling point.

I'm suprised he didn't wait/check out NFC West teams like the Cards/Seattle with solid talent to take it to the 9ers
